anyone know about mouse lag/fix the problem also ???

Post 2

I'm assuming you're seeing the lag in CS when you use the Direct3d drivers? (I say that cos that's the only "mouse-lag" I've seen).

Or is it something you're seeing all the time?

If it is CS, then use the OpenGL driver setting in your video setup.

If not, then I'll just shut my mouth.... :(

u mean bizzar? :P

Post 13

when you say mouse lag, is it only in CS? or in general applications?

also, is it "move the mouse, count to 3, pointer moves"? or that the mouse stutters?

Post 14

yes, yes I would

ps2rate, bah thats a load of crap

go into device manager
go to the properties of the mouse
in the advanced or hardware section it has the refresh rate of the mouse, pump it to the max

www.google.com

search for mouserate
download it
and tell me what refresh rate your mouse is getting

you can only increase the rate of the mouse if it is running off the ps2 as usb runs off the highest possible speed anyway.

The more info you provide the easier it will be for us to help diagnose it.

Post 15

Actually i dont think 98 has ps2 refresh rate built into the mouse options? (i say think, havent used it for sooo long).

Also if its the laaaag i remember, try reinstalling the mouse drivers...both me and my brother have had "strange" mouse lag...where you drag the mouse across and then 2 seconds later it moves. I only experienced it in CS also. Try even reinstalling CS (i know i know) I'll ask scy how we ended up getting rid of it.

EDIT:
OH OH OH....remember something to do with changing the sensitivity ingame through the console...this used to screw it up for me. Fixing it though...i think you just have to go through the settings page instead of ingame. Ring a bell for anyone??

Slower comps running high rez in cs with D3D will have mouse lag, to fix change the modes in settings in HL to use OpenGl which does not have as much lag. If it continues reduce rez ur running the game

Post 17

changed to openGL and it works fine, thx for the help guys, glad some ppl know about these things =]

Post 18
