Yep that sounds good, simple tourney brackets with a best of 3 in the first round.
Gives everyone a decent game even if you get knocked out first up you would have played for at least an hour and 3 games, maybe longer.
Ok Spero, have I got this straight.
Teams are organised by the players, Eight 2 man teams sounds about right for the numbers and we can always just expand the bracket if we have more people wanting to play.
Note: Must register when the thread goes up to play.
The teams are drawn out of a hat in order of the tourney brackets.
One player from each team nominates themselves to be the server for the game, we flip a coin and winner chooses.
Maps will be chosen by the organisers and a list of what maps will be played will be posted before the comps start AS will the first start times for your team for the first round.
In the first round games have a max time limit of 45 mins, Winner will be determined by scores if opponents have not been completely eliminated by that time.
In the first round it is best of 3 games.
You may choose different races for each of the games if you wish.
The second and third rounds are still best of three but the time limit on matches for round 3 should be now 1 hour
By then we should be in the final and we can do the same or make it one unlimited time match or even best of 5 but considering the winning teams would have already played 3-5 hours of Warcraft 3 this might not be a good idea..:)
If we get a lot more rego's than we are expecting Spero then we just make it knockout after the first round, no more best of 3.
I suggest we run this on the Sunday of the comp as not to interfere with the CS comp and to maximise the number of players able to play.

That's about all I can think of for now.
We've just got to get the numbers of players/teams looking to play and we can draw up the tournament brackets, maps and starting times once we chat with Unseen/Crazy/Tn1.

Right we have to play it starting asap cause it will take to long sunday there is not enough time
it will be easy to organise inbetween cs comps anyway. I mean you dont need round one with everyone playing same time all you need is two teams who are against each other playing and the rest of round one can play when they are ready.
I reckon we should give team an option of map then the last map is chosen by us as Lost Temple cause that map roxors, or something like that.
And yea woohoo
i'll be in for the tournament, might drop Q3 to play this..

That's ok, I'm still only learning to play Warcraft III now. I'll spend the time practicing, and then play at Evo II, and yeah... come second because I hear SperO is really good. o.o
