Exactly that, Foxtel make yonks from airing the WWE series on their cable network, they probs have the licence for it as well (in australia).

wwe asked for a 400% increase in licensing fees in order to air smackdown, they got knocked back, and were offered a 200% increase, they said no, hence, off air.

WWE now sucks because....
1) No competition because they bought them all out (Apart from indy promoters XPW and CZW)
2) Story lines, which were corny in the first place, are now getting tedious and boring.
3) Best talent have become stale.
4) Vince Russo is not writing for the WWE which means they are now using Stephanie McMahon, whose writing skills don't even come close to matching her breasts.
5) I'm starting to grow up and mature out of it.

Foxtel wanted it, WWE said they weren't interested in Australia despite the amount of people that love it so there is nothing you or Foxtel can do about it.

i used to love it ther was a time when i was between liek 10-14 yrs old wherre i wouldnt miss an episode i would hire out tapes and watch em
than i sorta lost track of it all than xmas in sydney cousins loved it so i watched it again than dropped off
now i watch it every now nd again
i hate the new name WWE
its not the same WWF is better
and it was way cooler back in ther gorilla monsoon days where he ran the matches it was all good back tha with the best in the busniess and the wicked ass wrestlers

Yes some of the stuff is pretty crap on it. but i still love it :)
Its not foxtels fault really.. vince wanted way to fucking much. 400% increase for the rights. Thats crap :\

i went to the WWE when it came to melbourne, the wreslting ws alright, but the crowd and the arean was unreal.
The only good match was probably: Torri vs Stacy in Bra & panties match.
