I'm pretty sure its possible to ban the IP ranges that are used in the Uni labs without affecting the ones used by IT support at the uni. I'm sure Paladin can furninsh you with the right numbers EoS.

im ganna have to go with juggalo405 on this one. I know i hold no water round this place what so ever. And i aint been here long, maybe i havn't seen any stupid stuff they have done. but it seems a bit odd to ban people for flaming in the flame forum.
just give me some links so i can check waht they have done. just curiouse why you would ban someone that seems to of done nothing.
There's a slight difference between 'flaming' someone you actually know, and just picking a random name for the sake of it. Not to mention the world of difference between personal attacks and general comments. Also, regardless of what they say, it has _not_ been limited only to the flame forum.

thats good for a start dude - though keep this in mind - the GU forums are run by a private person ie. OverDrive. He is under no obligation to explain his reasoning for anything, he and the other admins govern here with no thought of or desire for compensation for their time.
We play by some pretty simple rules, spamming is generally frowned upon. Unwarranted slagging of people you don't know is a big no no. Sexist and/or racist slurs will incur the wrath of a number of admins and moderators. Act like a child and the community as a whole will rise up and pulverize the offender into a pulpy mass.
Basically play nice with the other kids and you won't get banned.
FYI Octa4 has a clause in our terms and conditions that states we have the right to terminate an account for breaches of net ettiquite. From what I have seen, if the GU admins presented evidence that Juggalo and friends were O4 customers, likely they would be having their accounts shut down and would be politely asked to use a diferent ISP.

That pretty much summs up why this has happened. I don't know any online community that would tolerate what you and your friends have been up to. Just remember, OD's word is final - and I'm pretty sure he's already passed judgement.
