Quote from VNUnet:
The 27 year-old Taiwanese man collapsed after playing computer games for 32 hours non-stop. ..

32 hours ?? wtf ? thats not long..

Quote from VNUnet:
At 7am on Saturday, a staff member found the man on the floor of the cafe's toilet foaming at the mouth and bleeding from the nose. ..

Umm I dont think he dies of computer games. Try a drug overdose.

Quote from VNUnet:
A police spokesman stated that doctors believe Wen-cheng died from exhaustion..

All gamers know about exhaustion.. U tend to shut down, not spontaneously bleed from ther face and foam at the mouth

Quote from VNUnet:
We would not expect hardened soldiers to cope with a 32-hour fire fight, and yet some people think they can play these games constantly for long periods of time..

Umm runnin around with a full kit and experiencing the real world stress of knowing U can die, is just a wee bit different from sittin on your ass clicking a mouse and tappin a keyboard..

LoL you know you point out alot of facts i thouhgt of my self but was to lazy to type them out

Hell i remeber at EVO (first one) was up for more than 52 hours, and hell i still had it in me to keep going  Although I did fall asleep pretty quickly

Post 12

Yeah the stupid thing is that he didn't die from playing games.. he died from not goin to the dunny.. busted blader.. not eating.. not drinking.. not sleeping.. not resting his eyes, brain, fingers, arms, etc.. usually you'd actually die from something like heart failure - I think that's what the first bloke died from..

I mean it's not as if it's as bad as when they say games make people killers.. but it's till there.. I know it's a more comedic thing but I'd rather they got it right.

Post 13

mate at evo 1 i was the last person to go to sleep(4 o'clock in the morning 3rd day), and then it was only for 2 hours then i got back up and kept goin

that guys a lamer, if he cant do that

Post 14

OK, the first guy, 86 hours then dead from exhaustion, that's pretty hardcore...

The Second guy though? Absolute wimp.... 32 hours? Bleeding from the Nose? Foaming at the mouth? That is _not_ a case of Gaming addiction causing death, this guy had a few other issues (I'd be tempted to say Rabies, I mean, it _is_ Taiwan. Who knows what he ate?)...Oooh, did I say that?

*Charybdis runs from the Taiwanese population in general...*

Post 15

haha they eat dogs there too do they?

Post 17

have not acheived those kind of hours based on gaming platforms but did go through all nighters think 4 days and worse yet being in a public access designation ***NTU***..during the day/night ...but had those kind of figures in my mudding days or should i say phase...and i am sure some of you know how time flashes from start and finish passes by mudding in between
and at the NTU main labs in b29 got the noticable feeling when the guard checks your card and he give you the up and down knowing that you have not going back to the dorm to freshen up..etc etc...
mudding on banda on one comp...
ircii on another comp so called ***studies*** on my laptop still enclosed in the bag
after that i gave up..but yeah it is not that long guess it was the journey that matters :P kidding..when i think back on it.imagine the aroma i was generating lol

sorry if this is not really part of the thread..
