1.6 BETA Delayed
Counter-Strike 1.6's BETA version has been delayed until mid-December--a delay of roughly a month--according to the Steam website. CS 1.6 BETA will be available freely for those who try out Steam 2.0 (which will also be in BETA form).
So I know we all play NS now *grins* but that means roughly 6 weeks beta testing, @ least.. So dont expect 1.6 till Feburary at the earliest..
And doesnt that bite :/

Can you elaborate on the shield in particular? How effective do you think it will be beyond the first round given its inability to fully stop rifle fire?
In the current implementation, it will fully stop rifle fire.
Do you feel the new weapons will be worthy additions given the overwhelming popularity of a small group of guns in CS? (AK-47, Colt Commando etc)
Yes.
All 3 items in this update are set to feature in Condition Zero, but there are a number of others from that game which are not being included in this patch. Is this the first phase of bringing CS inline with CZ so that upon its release both games' online components will be one and the same, can we expect to see more content release between now and then?
