I know OF the fact that you can run windows apps on Linux systems, but I just have one query about it

I think I may format my laptop so I can play with linux properly. I need the computer for school, and the only thing I will need for school is the Microsoft Office Suite.

Can this be emulated properly on Linux? its the only thing I'd really need.

Thx

OpenOffice

Can save and read office file formats (with the exception of VBscript - which IMO is a viral risk anyhow).

Also Codeweavers have a variant of Wine that can run up to Office 2k (they can't test OfficeXP as it has a clause in the EULA requiring it to be run on only Microsoft OSes)
