sorry to hear that after all the things u sacracfised to get down there and witht he troubles eg ya computer gettign beat up ya cat missing ya u freezing ya willy off in caberra
I rang up the ANU directly - turns out the Canberra Times only reports CANBERRA residents who were accepted to ANU; I actually have my offer. What twigged me onto this was that I was reading it a few hours later and I realised that someone from Darwin High School (My High School) achieved a TER of 95.75 and yet wasn't on the list... so I rang 'em up, figuring I had nothing to loose. The reason I didn't get a postal offer was because it went to Darwin.
/me happy..
BTW, half of all applicants to ANU were rejected and all course TER requirements remained steady or increased this year dispite a dropoff of IT applicants. B-IT jumped from 70 to 73 (still made the cut tho') and Software Engineering was steady at 82 (didn't make the cut; but it's ok.) Software Engineering, at least the first year of anyway, is exactly identical to B-IT, and if you maintain a credit average then they bump you up if you so choose. Which I shall do.
Tally ho! All is not lost!
EDIT: Seems that ANU is jammed packed and there will be no second round offers made for any course. That's mad.
WD, wolf we should hopefully be shareing some classes I would have found out tonight but i checked too late, so tomorrow morning it is, i think I havent done anything (school) for the last year so i dont know how adversly that would affect how they consider my UAI/TER
EDIT: I got this this morning:
