Be confident dont um and ar
If they ask you a aquestion that doenst pertain to the job (ie do you sleep in the nude)
Ask them them with puzzled expresion "Yes but may i ask waht that has to do with the job?" and if he she replies that the thought of u naked gives them the shivers then smile and touch them on the leg. Then when your back at thier place .....

er hang on

hmmmm

here's my tips:
firstly give the interviewer a wink when you meet them.
try not to talk to yourself too much.
restrain the urge to twitch nervously.
only swear when it is necessary.

You should olny swear when they say,

Sir you got the job,

Then you reply ..

Fuck yea.. your a champ :)

Post 8

me not good at looking at people in the eye unless i know them :(

Post 9

what do i say if they ask me why i want the job or why they should make me part of their team?

Post 10

Tell em you need the money for whores, guns and booze

If they ask why you should work for them, tell them that your a hard worker and dependable. If thats not true then you'll probably get the job and then lose it :)

Post 11

When looking them in the eye
DONT STARE
Smile
Be calm
Its not you life ure bartering over

Or if you wann creep em out just grin Non stop and look through them and slightly above and to the left when you answer the questions

Scares crap Outta Em

And i wouldnt swear at all

Post 12

wear some nice clothes, ie no holes, graphic pictures, swear words.

Be polite the entire time. Went for a job a few years ago at Big W and if the questions are still the same its easy as. Just use common sense.

flam might be worth talking to here for advice
questions are usually like:
where do you see yourself in 5 yrs?
- dont say manager, or in this position they would probably worry about you if u suggested ud still be there

Why are you considering employment here?
do you work well in a team?
how do you think you can handle tasks independently?
What relevent work/experiance you have done in the past?
How old are you?
Will you work weekends if required?
Do you have a criminal record? :) i think they have to ask this

There will be other background questions but i dont think it will be in too much depth for bilo/coles

Most important, remember that you are buying work with time, and you just need to tell them how you are exactly the person they are looking for. (someone willing to work for a little amount of money)

Qs to ask them
What kinds of work will be involved?
Pay?, its perfectly ok to ask about pay, what r they going to do (not pay u?) (its usually award, so for unskilled labour its $7 80 to "5 60 depending on age)
What are your responsibilities?
Options for promotions?
Pay rates for differnt times?
Qualifications you may recive? - if they are paying you trainee rates make sure they are actually training you in something usefull? - otherwise ask how long this period will last - make sure it isnt too long

But yeah, ask flam

If they have asked you for an interview for those kinds of jobs, your pretty much already working there mate.

Just go in as if you KNOW you already have the job, and your ok.

I walked into Woolworths and started right there and then, because i was confident. 17yr old nightfill manager for Smith St store (busiest in Darwin at the time).

Post 15

Thanks vinc that was heaps of help.

Post 16

Quote from Vinc:

How old are you?

By law they are NOT allowed to ask this. The same goes for
your marital status. If its on the application form and you write it down, then you are volunteering this information. If you dont feel comfortable
with telling them either of these two things, then dont. you legally dont have to anymore.

Post 17

ohh aslo with a question like where i think i will be in 5 yrs is it ok to say a job thats not iwht them?

Post 18

Personally, i say just be honest.
Honesty is appreciated from potential employees.
And lets face it, its hard to find people who will stay in one job for 5 years.

Just tell em you want to be making a decent wage and be happy in your job, wherever that may be.

Post 19

with a question like this do you work well in a team? do i just answer yes/no or explain why and stuff?

Post 20

always explain why.
dont exaggerate though, keep it concise. But try to explain to them why you are good for them, why you like certain aspects of work etc etc.

Post 21

Ok thanks all for the help. Now i have to go to this thing

Post 22

Good luck, tell us if ya got it

Post 23

When they ask:

Q: Where do you see yourself being in five years?

The correct answer to this question is:

A: Sitting where you are asking the fucking questions.

I got this email once about this application to McDonalds.
questions and answers were something along the lines of:

Q: Where do you want to be in 2 years time?

A: In the Bahama's making millions of dollars day, surround by beautiful sluts. Actually...no...i want to be doing that now.
