They aren't actually Sydney Funnelwebs (they're REALLY dangerous), but they are funnel webs. And also bird eating spiders and stuff.

Tiger snakes are many in tasmania ,,,
very big very hard to see ,
my brother got bitten by one bak in 1983 while he was swimming .
had to carry him bak to the hospital ., he lived ..

Snakes dont bother me, even though i was bitten by a tiger snake once. Yet a small hairey 8 leged insect really gets me. The problem is they are so small, you dont see them coming on most occasions, bunjy jumping from trees into your hair and trying to sink their fangs into ya, or crawling accross your keyboard while your playing cs. Had the creeps all fucking night, it was fucking huge!!! Kill em all i say. cept daddy long legs, (i think that what they are called). they are cool, if you want to have some fun. heres what i did. My Mother's boyfriend was perading around with his shirt off, as he does, when i spot me one. so i pick him up and release him on the poor suckers back >=D damn good fun.

HOW TO BATHE A CAT

2. Lift both lids and add shampoo.
3. Find and soothe cat as you carry him to bathroom.
4. In one swift move, place cat in toilet, close both lids and
stand on top, so cat cannot escape.
5. The cat will self agitate and produce ample suds.
(Ignore ruckus from inside toilet, cat is enjoying this)
6. Flush toilet 3 or 4 times. This provides power rinse, which
is quite effective.
7. Have someone open outside door, stand as far from toilet as
possible and quickly lift both lids.
8. Clean cat will rocket out of the toilet and outdoors,
where he will air dry.

sure it was a funnel web? it was probably a mouse spider - they look very similar, especially considering they are related species;). apparently mouse spider venom is quite toxic, although there's no recorded fatalities from a bite.
anyway that's just my two cents...
