Im looking for one, what do people recommend?
- Sony G420 - being dephased, wheres the cheapest place?
-Phillips 109B - anyone had any experience?
- Phillips 109P - anyone had any experience?

And is there somewhere in darwin i can get it instead of paying 100bucks on shipping?

you do know that there are already MANY threads on 19" CRT monitors going around right? obviously not *sigh* i REALLY wish people would use the search tool that is found at the top of the screen or at least be bothered to have a look themselves. laziness...

anyway - i like Philips. 109P40 is the better one as it uses much more 'advanced' components. the 109B is currently being phased out as it uses old technology.

you might also want to look into these monitors:

LG using a sony tube - LG T910B.
Mitsubishi DiamondPlus 93 Professional monitor - Sony tube.
Hitachi CM-721 Flat - not sure what it is although i think it is also sony.

the Mitsubishi or the 109P40 are the ones i would recommend.

yeah im aware of the monitor threads and i have read thousands of them.
the problem is that there are mostly mixed feelings about them all.
But the one that stands out is the sony.

Its a very very very hard choice. :(

Personally, I'd say go for the Mitsubishi with sony tube.

the Mitsubishi will get more support in coming years also as sony has now phased out the sale of their own CRT monitors.

Roman - what i meant was that you could have posed the question (like "so clarify what people think are currently the best 19" CRT monitors") again in the same thread rather than create a new thread... it gets all cluttered and having to repeat the same things to several different people becomes tedious...

thats cool sorry bro.

im thinking i might just go with the 109P. iv sat on this monitor business for just too long.
my POS 15" is blury and hurts my eyes over a small peroid of time.

I have a Hitachi CM-721 Flat and it is by far the best monitor i have had. Good price too. I haven't seen the others so i can't comment on them.
