well now.. i was ment to be playing at bass in the grass but they just told us today that they cant fit us in... how f**ked is that!!!  anyways i wont be there
I have been told they r 40bucks... the only real reason i am going is cause a good friend asked me to go and said she would pay for me =P ... i turned her down at first.. but yea u know =P
I too had heard nothing about it... but yeah i don't see to much media
are you kidding?! The advertising is going off....we sell SO FREAKING MANY each day it's annoying  the official official lineup comes out today - check the paper, news, etc. Bands are like 28 days, living end, endorphin, machine gun, etc. Their are crappy artists like Sophie, and Selwyn, Russel's 'Let's grunt and make the ladies happy' band as well :( ANYWAYS drinking starts at 5 when i finish work :P  so all good...it'll go to 'around' 11:30...
i think i'll pass... the amount of little kiddies there will be too much for me to bear. and i dont like any of those bands that much anywho. i have seen living end live and they arent that great.....
Quote from Azreal: Their are crappy artists like ... Dude, their all crappy! Its all teeny music for the big 13 year olds. Bring on the real bands I say!
28 days is s'posed to be pretty good live as well... meh. i couldn't be f'd especially since selwyn and the kiwi are going to be there.
agreed, get some maiden, lp, metallica, disturbed etc and they would be selling so many more tickets than they are currently ;) (but asif that is going to happen... bloody government and the 'black hole' in the budget pfft)
Bass in the Grass was excellent......28 days came on and everyone went spastic. I was moshing in the front row and had an awesome time, can't wait till next year. :D

Crowd turnout 'well behaved' at Bass concert: NT police Northern Territory police say the estimated crowd of about 5,000 were well behaved at the "Big Day Out"-style concert at the amphitheatre in Darwin last night.
Police senior sergeant Gary Turnbull says there were no major incidents and the "Bass in the Grass" concert was well run.
"We get prepared for traffic congestion and party goers moving into town - we were prepared for that," he said.
"There were sufficient numbers of police there and as I said before, all party goers were very well behaved and those that did move into town caused us no real problems at all."

numbers.... im an idealist and i guess grew up with concerts at small venues with too many people.... moshes to me are packed in so you cant move, where you arent actually having to jump because the crowd is so mashed your all moving as one. lots of sweat, lots of water, screaming at the band you love and comming out with bruises that are unexplainable.....
okay, so i wasnt at *this* concert but i have been at others and people jump up and down... i mean c'mon people, your supposed to get in there and shoulder everyone out of the way, its not a trampoline....
darwin moshes are way too polite... although at least the new generation can at now have a yearly event and go crazy :D
im glad though that this bass in the grass went so well....we deserve a concert like it.
