Not sure how many people here still play Eve but there's going to be a player run fanfest in Sydney on 23-25 November called Eve Down Under.

I'll be heading along to meet up with some of my corpmates and a couple of local Adelaide players who I've been socialising...

You're undoubtedly aware, if you're a keen participant of any gaming forum or online games service, that there has been a sharp spike in security breaches over the past few weeks. The biggest is of course the PlayStation Network, but since then we've seen attacks on Codemasters, Minecraft, EVE Online, The Escapist and Bethesda. BioWare is the next victim on the list with 18,000 user accounts on the Neverwinter Nights forum hacked....

An interesting interview with Halldor Fannar, CTO at CCP, has been published at Ars Technica. The article disusses PS3 exclusive, Dust 514, and how its concurrent and persistent with EVE Online will impact players of the popular PC MMO. "PC players are really worried about what it could do, and how it could upset things," Fannar said, "but we need to energize the world by disrupting it every once in a while....

I am just curious, how many GU subscribers play EVE Online and for how long? What is you focus and location?
