While this report is only based on PC game sales in the USA, I think we could get away with saying it might be a fair representation on a global scale, too. It's obvious that PC gaming has been moving sharply away from retail, which has reinvigorated an army of "PC gaming is dead" console users. Of course, that's easy to believe if you buy your console games from outlets like EB Games - but the lack of PC presence there is not because of a lack of purchases, rather because the channels of choice for those purchases are now online.
