Quote from PlayinG ShithousE: um, did u only just discover this? UT2k3 has been around for quite a few months now. yes it is awesome, but knight, get wit the times.
o yeah, u need a decent computer to run it, not everyone at the lan will be able to is my guess nar started playign it about november last year i thinik only just getting back into it again now and wanna intice more peopel too casue i wanan have a big lan game :P
Bombing run is a pretty cool mode and CTF is quite good. I reckon it's definatly worth getting bombing run happening at the next lan.
I've gone off UT2k3 as a deathmatch game though, i'd rather Q3, just seems to flow much better. The few quake 3 games we had at the lan were awesome fun :D.
UT2003 came out in 2002 lol. knighty poo is a little slow :P but im up for a big game at 24 :D been playing it latley. still suck :P but playing it none the less.
This game always seems to have interest buy every lan its just me and the same few ppl playing it (Captain_Schlong, Soulblade, Dintch). Looks like we need some organisation at the next lan to get things going. =)
My nicks Johnny_Ric0 if any of you happen to play online. I usually just go into the Jetstreamers CTF or BR server (whichevers got the most ppl) at night and have some fun games. Dont the CTF stages just look awsome? :D
I can run it at full everything to, god the Antaelus, or however you spell it, map looks nice, and the gameplays nice and fast too. Some of the levels are a little big for small multiplayer games tho other than that :D
I purchased UT2003 & Unreal2 about 5 months ago. and it has an awesome engine merciless, smart, accurate and greedy AI and best run with Direct3d. 8)
The thing with UT 2003 battle on a 1 on 1 situation or more it can last up to 20 seconds long or more depending the skills of the player or AI that makes you really feel the intensity of the battle unlike Quake3 quick frag method.
Other outstanding games used the Unreal Warfare engine such as Splinter Cell and notably Raven Shield it has the best combat realism- I look forward playing this game at DGA24 adversarily or Co-operatively. :!:
BY THE WAY JOHNNY_RICO I figured out how to bypass cd key checking to allow multiplayer for Raven Shield install it for next LAN. see YA :D
UT2k3 looks pretty nice, but the people are a little too chunky and the game is nothing like the original UT. Original was better as it had support for Diect3D, OpenGL, S3 MeTal, Glide and some form of OpenGL for PowerVR cards.
BTW UT2k3 will run faster in OpenGL as it disables the pixel shaders for those who are wanting to help out with frame rates. The image quality difference is non-existent
the fuck? You think it doesnt look much better than Quake3? Or did you mean gameplay wise?
It runs fine on my GF4ti4200, with max details. Although im content with 30-60fps so there u go.
I play a fair bit of UT2k3 online, I must say I do prefer Quake 3 for plain combat (DM/Tourney) sometimes. But I have alot of fun playing UT2k3 CTF and BR online. And I still enjoy the DM stuff though, I go thru moods where I feel the need to play 1v1, but I only stick to the team stuff online. The ctf/br stages in UT2k3 just look incredible 8)
Hey Dincht :). Its Johhny_Rico here. Check out the latest model I got :D :D [Image: http://matthew.ozforces.com.au/aida620x465.jpg] Or if thats too small to make out -_-, heres a bigger one.
Only just got my net back on today so this is late  . If you havent found her by now, I just entered Aida into google and found a site with her model. I didnt even know there was one. Dunno about the rest of the crew, I guess I wouldnt mind a Ne'baan model, he could look pretty funny with a redeemer :)
