We stay here fixing stuff, nothing will get done, space will never get started on. Then before I die, I won't even see the first manned expedition to Mars.

People were saying there's not enough food and too many people. Cannibalism is obviously the answer. If we ate one person each, the problem would be halted overnight. You could eat the unemployed, eat prisoners - no problem. Eat the homeless. If you can't just eat one, they'll take you to an Asian country where there's plenty to go around.

i think it has more to do with inbalance at the moment. The amount of wasted food that gets thrown out by the first world countries could feed most of the third world ones... as evidence look at the population of China: 1billion plus, no apparent hunger probs

Indonesia has 250 million on a bunch of small islands that barely add up to the land within the nt and there are no appaernt hunger problems....
sure these countries all have impoverished people the are starving for one reason or another... but so do the so called 1st world countries...
at the moment its not overpopulation that is the cause of starvation but rather its the fact that 90% of the worlds "wealth" is held by 10% of the world....and dodgy dictator types whose intrests in power dont extend beyond helpin him or his family

maybe wewill get to the stage where we can have ethnic streaming colonies. (Nights Dawn trilogy) So that people who don't like each other don't have to live in close poximity with each other.

My problem wasn't quite as much with the "going places" side of thing, more with the "lets spend over a billion US on the new space exploration thing 'cause it looks good" instead of "lets add that 1.13 billion to what is used to help people dying of hunger".
Seems like a rather large waste or resources just to give Bush a bigger ego than he's allready got.
