Everyone gets to do this once in their entire forum life. So here's mine.

Right now I'm sitting in the middle of Hub at RMIT, on a wireless network on my laptop surfing the net.

Wireless is bloody brilliant. Now if only laptop batteries could be replaced with Hydrodgen fuel cells.

Wireless at NTU is decent as well, in the chinese garden with a tablet computer late last year, was pretty good.

How many tall stories have you got away with so far about the NT? I know when I first went down to Melbourne, I had a running joke about cutting firewood for hot water, and the silly gits believed it.

Wootage, found the WAP. Now I don't have to worry about losing connection every time some meatbag stands in front of me and blocks out the signal.

WAP. 2m above me. :P Geek wootage.

Skinny dipping with a laptop in a spa? The only way to go!

Just put the laptop a little distance away from the spa and run a water proof keyboard off it (yes, they do exist). :)

Jay: Not too sure how wireless works, but its a bit strange that a person can stand in the way of a connection. It wasn't an issue for us at CDU.

A wireless laptop is on my -to buy list, when I actually have some spare money to use. They are indeed quite nifty.

Meatbags (KOTOR reference), are full of water. Water is one of the best things for blocking signals.

Further down where I was earlier was a corridor, and I only had the slighest of Line of sight without having 5m of concrete and steel in the way. Whenever a group of people walked past my VPN and Networking connection would berserker styles connecting and disconnecting.

Yes I'm still here, and right now wishing for Hydrogen fuel cells harder than ever.
