Just curious if anyone on here works there thats all :

yea i know 2 ppl who work there, why you ask ?

oh just a mate from school goes there for his VET corse or work studies or something like that.

Just looking for places to drop in a resume thats all :)

What kind of job are you looking for ?

anything in IT hopefully, but i guess anything atm :)

salesman, tech, admin?
you gotta make a goal i want this job and im gonna try get it
make your resume up for that job and apply at all suitable places

if ya after anything mcdonalds hand out application forms if you go to the counter and ask there always after people and there training is said to be good for stuff like fire hazards and so on
somethign nice to have for when you get a big persons job

Get one start earning money and experience and move on from there

yes not everyone can just walk into their dream job
if we could then there would be no uni or school even :P
only some people can walk into there dream or preferd job and good on them people but others gotta try hard and make it
if you put your mind it somehting and try hard to get it usally it is possiable

well maccas is alright but belive me it will break your spirit if you work there full time. And the smell. oh the smell.....

Now this isnt always to peoples liking and some people are totally opposed to the idea, but believe me, this method has allowed alot of people i know to get their foot in the door.

What it involves is, working for free. Yeh, sounds silly eh? I have a good mate who has a disability. Its nothing major, but its a personal and professional setback when looking for employment (Its a moto-function disability). This guy worked his arse off, put in the hard yards and worked for nothing. Two months later, the guys got a full time job doing what he loves, I.T.

This is one of the many reasons why i have ALOT of respect for this guy.

Get in there and have a crack at it :)

My career in graphics design and web development started with free work, also.

I did a range of free work for for a range of interest-related companies (AusGamers, being the primary example).

Soon enough I was employed, doing sub-contract work for Electronic Arts and Microsoft and have no gone on to work for some of Australia's biggest online gambling organisations with OverDrive.

Interesting philosophies (sp?)..............

I have made choices to start with the pizza hut, Big W things for part-time work, then found myself working my but off to get to mgm't in a totally diff profession..........I will use that training to move across to same level in something totally diff again.

I did that in the beginning of my IT career too. But I had a sad & bad story. So my policy for doing things IT for free is for non-profit.

Anyway, the key is get noticed at being good at the job. Then royalties come in by themselves... Right Milenko :wink:

man it would be good getting a casual job in the IT industry while trying to get thru school... anybody know of any IT places hiring juniors for casual work? I'm not fussy as to what kinda work it is but a job is a job...

i think hallmark is always after peopel to assemble computer

In today's IT world qualifications are the big door opener - there are 100's of people who all want to be in IT but only a few with the quals.

So my advice is get some quals - Uni, Tafe , Self Study and get some Industry type quals - like CISCO or Microsoft etc ....

just ordered $350 worth of books to read.. then you've gotta do 4 (i think) exams for the MCSA.. ands they cost a fortune.

mcse is a toilet paper cert. i swear, you can get them with having never touched a computer. not all mcse's are crap, but having an mcse doesn't automatically make you any good at anything. stupid industry actually putting faith in that accreditation.
