Drinking and renovating

Many would know that I bought a new house this year and have been working away with renovations, aka the fine art of bashing down walls and ripping out fixing before really knowing how to build replacements.

The first renovations to near completion is of course the drinking area, or the bar. So without further ado I give you the Bar buidling for idiots guide (or bar building by an idiot, you decide), fully illustrated and poorly coded.

Digital austar is installed this weekend and there is a 68cm TV collecting dust in the spare room until then :-D

To be honest, I reckon all bases are covered.. cept for the dart board, aint got one of them yet.

Post 13

Post 17

Sounds like an excellent idea Toppy

And if it happens we should get a rubber floor mat to prtect his carpet.

The Bar is absolutely awesome and Fleshy and Da Krew really do deserve great praise for the work.
I have personnaly had an outer body experience upon veiwing it and am really motivated to get back there and do it again :)

ah, gifts are not a requirement (thanks for the thought :) ), and in due course I'm sure many of you will pass through the palace and have your arse handed to you on the pool table :) (Better get practicing)

I appreciate the thoughts, all good. Indeed there is a second phase to the bar production, over head cabinet above the bar, and a built in area behind the bar covering the back wall and window with permenant wine racks and bottle storage. But at the moment, its tools down and drinks up. Cheers!

Post 19

....and a backboard to protect wall, and a blackboard for scoring and floor protector for dust and a firing range and basketball hoop and bunks and and .....

please when quoting me, quote me in full, it reads I am covering the back wall and window, not racking wine in an open window. Thank you I have much expereince with alcohol, storing and drinking

fooligan ;)

Post 24

Not only does Psyave have no idea who Fleshy is (the alcohol maestro, to those who have any clue who or what he represents), but common sense evades him - everyone else knew what you were talking about Flesh. ;P

Post 25

Good job with the bar Flesh-meister. Better than a bought one!

What an awesome place to consume alcohol in the company of mates.

Post 26

Most relevent update to the bar. The legend of a mate JD has managed to procure the most bestest beer dispensing device to be bolted to the bar.
Check it out www.fleshy.org/bar101/font.html

Its gold, its frozen and damned sexy, not to mention being a limited edition Sydney olympics peice of memorabilia. Line up for you golden headaches here

Post 27

yo fleshy, u looking for a son? :P

that bar tap, solid bloody effort!

Post 28

Solid effort, top shelf, good value... there's a number of catchy little lines we could throw out, but I think the only real justice would be a minute silence among beer drinks GU wide...

So, if we may... ah-hem.

*Closes eyes and bows head in thanks and awe

Post 29

looks sweet,

...if only it had a few fans, a side panel and some cold cathodes...

serously, tis a good job. I am looking at upgrading my bar room next year and may hit you up for some advice..

ooh, i forgot. the most important thing about the font, is it was free. Scavenged parts are the best.
