I just got one about 3 days ago, and I just have to reccommend it to as many people as I can, they are really, really, really good with the Intellimouse 3. I would like to see something beat it :P.
For those of you the dont know, the IceMat is a glass mousepad, and it slides like shit :D
The mouse skates that come with it suck, get different ones and it works much better. I bought mine about 3 months ago and regret it sorely. It isn't bad but is not worth the money at all.
God there are so many good mousepads out there that I think it really doesn't matter which one you get if your planning to spend $50+ Just as long as its suited to your playing style its all good...
Func surface, Everglide Richochet, Steelpad and Icemat - the only four mouse pads to consider for any serious gamer.
I personally prefer for the func surface, however the everglide richochet has been fantastic, and the steelpad is the undisputed king for you Microsoft mouse users.
The IceMat is heaps noisey when you dont have their skates on, But after you put them on they quite as and heaps smooth they are a alright pad not the greatest
I'm using an Icemat Black 2nd Edition for about a half year and I'm fully satisfed with this surface. Large size, good sliding, stilish look and feel... Great thing!
Quote from close001: who honestly gives a shit bout what type of mouse pad you ppl use? i kno i dont and if i wanted to see reviews i would go to sites that would normaly have that sort of shit.but seriously how much of a diffrence would a mouse pad make? none its all in your head
Thank you for that constructive post - it helps us all here at DGA to build a better picture of who you are :-P
Next LAN, go up to a few people who are using these different types of mouse pad, and see if it really is "all in your head" - then, if you seriously believe that it really makes no difference at all, feel free to come back and tell us all in this thread.
