If you bought cz it should be available through steam. There's a cracked version out already but we'll have no shenanigans about that on this forum kthx.
Korny, it's CS with new graphics, and more importantly, new physics engine. If you're going to call it "old", then Doom 3 is **yawn** so 90's, and HL2? Been there, done that...next game plse?
I think the game play for cs is awsome. that’s why I play it.
Looking at them pictures unseen posted they look nice, yeah the glock does looks small or maybe his just got fat hands? I love the trees too they look pritty.
Well, that's fine that you have your own "small-minded" opinion, in that you cannot accept that other people **may** have a different opinion to you.
Nevertheless, your first post was not constructive to this thread. If you don't like the game, then stay away from CS threads. This is new information about a totally new change to the game. At the very least, you could have been informative about what you don't like about the NEW CS that is being discussed here.
Have you played it, or are you just over CS as we know it - who isn't? I haven't had it on the computer for over six months now - but I can't wait to play it again using the new engine.
Let my post be the end of this hijacking, and if you don't have anything constructive to add to the information about this new "flavour", then browse elsewhere.
Thanks for the info OD. That's the res I run. I should still average over 60 if that is the case. Hope AF doesn't cause much of a performance hit though...
I've only played for a few minutes, but it seems really cool.
weapon_hegrenade and weapon_flashbang aren't valid commands anymore though, so I can't bind HE's or flashes to keys. If anyone knows the new commands, lemme know.
the error for refresh rates is something like "cannot set display mode, this may be a problem with your antialiasing settings."
but for first impressions... hmm graphics are awesome and physics are good, just the netcode imo is shocking, the whole time i was playing i was jittering around the place, whenever i stopped walking i would stop then teleport about half a metre, even with 60-70 ping it felt like 120-150...theres no recoil on the guns anymore... and the crosshair looks shit...
but then again, it's a beta, and those problems making the game pretty much unplayable (for me) don't really reflect the actual game itself, with it all fixed up i'd be damn happy if this replaced CS :)
colt has virtually no recoil unless they changed it today
played today and movements still screwed, not that its more realistic, but that it jerks every half a second or so, like these people: http://www.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=125656
wow, does that mean you can have 9 different bombs planted at the same time? cause if that's true, and ur the only CT left after u killed all the T's, that's a lot of runnning around

also do you get that error or does it crash back to desktop with no error?
Hey, yeah someone I know is getting this same error and this is what he has tried so far:
Drivers: Every driver set he can think of - back as far as the 53.** series DirectX: 9.0, 9.0b, 9.0c Uninstalling & Reinstalling CS:S Official Forums (nothing) Other forums (nothing) REGEDIT FIX (changing which directx source uses in-game)
It just started within the past 48 hours. It only crashes right before the map loads. It doesn't crash for the video test though. That's the part he doesn't understand.
The other crazy part - and this is really crazy - He has outright deleted the living crap out of the CS:CZ, CS:S, and HL2 folders only to have them magically reappear the moment he start's Steam up again, even though the data fills almost 2 whole cds. He has deleted it, emptied his recycle bin, and restarted, and it will still magically reappear.
If you guys know why this happens and how to fix it please let me know :D...
i reckon a nice improvement to the game is a kick button, so you can kick stuff around. or be able to pick up stuff, so you could throw something and maybe distract people. Also, if u step in something like glass, CRUSH, loud noise!
And if u could pick up and throw things, i reckon if it's heavy enough, and if u throw it at someone, with a direct hit to thead head, it should have a flashbang effect muhhahahha.
either way, better way to malipulate objects then to just shot or bump into them
