A few of us from Melb are looking at getting the game and I was woundering what server you guys play in and which are the best pvp Aussie servers?
Also does anybody here play this game on a 32 or 64mb vid card, if so how well does it run?

Hmm 32MB would stuggle, 64MB will be ok on lower view distance....
The main Gu group is on Kel'Thuzad, KNights, Heretic, Milenko, Woop etc
A few guys on Proudmore but thats PVE I believe.
A few still left on Blackrock but the ganking there is getting a little tiresome.

A 64mb Ti4200, I've seen, runs it pretty well... but it had virtually no graphic detail. I tried running the OB on a 64mb Radeon ViVo (7200) and no go.

Theres ALOT of aussies on Blackrock. But because of that, their server is pretty ****ed. Queues to login and alot of other bs.
However, they have hundreds of level 60's and therefore, insane raids, i would imagine.
Kelthuzad isnt as laggy as other servers, i have never seen queues and the people are about as good as they get in an MMO.

Ganking is when you are happily killing things at level 20 when 5 level 60's wipe you out, dance on your corpse and then corpse camp you for 4 hours :)
Doesn't happen very often but the PVP ruleset needs a little work.

Most of the ganking happen's around Hillsbrad and STV. Once you get out of there it's all pretty much 1v1.

Nope, when I was in Hillsbrad everyone was pretty much the same level just there would always be 5 Alliance walking around the yeti cave ganking.
STV was always the expedition camp near the Alliance rebel camp, sometimes you could get away by running in and talking to the NPC's and Alliance would leave you alone but if they attacked a horde 20 other Horde's would come in and clear the camp and hang around for 20mins. Allaince will only come back when the camp is Horde free.
Allaince = biggest pussy's on Blackrcok even tho horde are out numbed 2 to 1. I have no idea what you guys do all the time.

Meh my experience is seeing 4-6 level 60's in the Horde starting towns at least once per hour, at least your safe there but killing the quest NPC's sucks
As soon as you go into contested areas you get jumped about twice an hour by guys that are ??? in level to you.
I'd assume you are pushing 50 now Evil with your clan?

Yea alliance are hopeless on Proudmore... Horde is outnumbered almost 3:1 but every raid the alliance does is badly organised and they just get owned every time.

Some times when i log into WoW i get abit of lag as it loads up and it says i have mail when i don't. Some times, under the mail icon, it brings up another icon of a weird looking stone. I held my mouse over it and it said unknown. Any one have any idear of what it is ?

Thats the meeting stone for instances which gets introduced next instance.
when you start your client it will always show the mail icon for a few secs then it will go away as it checks the mail.
If that doesnt make sense stif shit i'm drunk.

with 861: 51 - 60 horde....compared to 670 Alliance should see alliance get pwned :P

we play on Kel'Thuzard its alot better, its about in the middle of popularity so we rarely get cues (blackrock is the third most popular server) and its relativly even..ok so i lie, horde are outnumbered 3:2 according to wowcensus...and most horde are pussys on our server :P

Heh, yeh they see Heretic is a pally and avoid him like the plague.
Most of em run away from me when im on my horse, or try to :P
But im a 'carebear' pvp'er, i only initiate pvp on yellow players. Attacking greens and greys is just lame.
But our server had a queue yesterday....after i say on the forums that we've never had a queue. GG.

I have characters on both Destromath and Proudmore. Destromath is my main as its not normally laggy and its a good PVP server. Only tend to get killed by annoying PK'er once a session.
But it seems to be down a lot latley so I have taken to playing on Proudmore durring this time ...
I play allience on Destromath (Liana, 34) and horde on Proudmore (Meroko, 6) :D

I have a 46th lvl Priest on Blackrock - Taking a little time off to play on Lightning's Blade as a rogue, with the same name as my priest =) while I wait for these stupid queues to be removed.
Last few days has been nightmarish, get home, 900 in the queue and a 1 and a half hour wait. Not good.

funny how alliance seem to outnumber horde on every server.

Alliance arent hopeless on our server at all.
Horde are a bunch of pussies on Kel'Thuzad. They only gank you when they are alot higher level, or if they outnumber you.
Yet to come across a horde player who has stayed to fight me (same level) and win.
Also....heretic got an epic drop last night. Fiery War Axe. Damn i want one of those things now!
Also, WoW Census isnt accurate.

Yea wow census isnt completelly accurate but its close enough - close as your gonna get and the truth is there are heaps more alliance then horde
And horde are allowed to be chicken they are outnumbered.
Actually alliance has been doing some interesting tactics on xroads of late bringing in low level pvp characters to pull us out. Doesnt really work cause horde arent stupid :P but is incredibly tempting.
