Username: Gamers-Underground (exactly as it says of course without this bit) Team: 24 (This will come up as overclockers Australia www.overclockers.com.au)
Alright I’m starting up my folding@home career again. Ill be contributing to the Gamers-Underground sub team on the OCAU team (team 24) I encourage all people who want to join in the excitement to jump onboard.
It’s fairly simple to do. You download and install the program. http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html Username: Gamers-Underground Team: 24 And off ya go basically
Gamers-Underground are currently ranked 274th (as of 2.49am on the 15th feb) on the OCAU team. If we get a couple of people onboard we should boot up to 250ish within a few days I assume. If we get more then a couple we could be soaring up the ladder. http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&teamnum=24&username=Gamers%2DUnderground
If you want to know what F@H actually is I have no idea other then some science thing that is meant to be for research but its more of a fun game to me lol http://folding.stanford.edu/ is the site for it, so it might have some useful stuff.
Come on you slack bastards we only done 2 WU’s in the last 4 days Everyone doing it, double check your settings and make sure the team number and team name is correct Check out these stats there better http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=122
Also if anyone knows how to tweak the F@H5 text only program for a p4 with ht let me know as my F@H4 doesn’t work anymore so I’m just using the normal F@H5 client and its slow as :(
im going to start my folding again, just for a bit of fun. runnign a p4 2.6c are these the correct things i need to make it work fast? -local -forceasm -advmethods -verbosity 9
Its a program that makes use of anyones spare cycles to add as processing power trying to work out a cure for cancer by studying how proteins fold....at least thats my understanding of it anyway.

So what's happened to the GU Folding team? I see it's down to #396 on Overclockers Australia, with one CPU active in the last 50 days...
If you're looking for some motivation, DarwinHigh leads you by 205 positions @ #191... if that's not enough to motivate... how about the Yanks are beating us with team 33 ([H]ardOCP).
*Cough* Kagetsu - User Summary - EXTREME Overclocking Folding @ Home Stats
Nice to see people joining the battle again here! For those who aren't aware, OCAU is currently holding a folding comp. Suggest everybody joins, but you may wish to use your own folding name. ^_^'
For those who aren't aware... If you're using a Core2 based machine, RUN THE SMP client. (the 5.91 V6 is easier, but the 5.92 V6 is much more stable). They're both only client based, but on anything higher then an E6600 your average points will jump to over 1000PPD.
Consider that my stats there are from:
Q6600 x 2 (1 currently down) - Gets about 2400ppd (dual SMP instances in both cases) E6600 x 1 - Gets about 1400ppd T7600 x 1 - 1200ppd PS3 x 1 - 1000ppd (coming soon) Q9300 x 1 - Unknown QX9650 x 1 - Unknown
In there are a few other little machines that don't impact my score all that much.
Here's my challenge. If gamers-underground can fold hard enough to beat me to 2Million Points, I'll throw a BBQ for the Darwin boys with beer (for the older lads) (total cost not to exceed $250. ^_~)
My username is Kagetsu, and I'm a little over 500,000 points from the mark.
