I just got a new toy, a dual layer dvd burner :)

I want to rip my dvd with great simplicity.
What software (if any) will allow me to basically put the dvd in and press go so it will rip to avi?
If there isn’t any so simply I’m open to other suggestions but I would like to keep it as simple as possible.

I use Smart ripper to get my VOB files, DVD2AVI to get my audio and video info streams, then I use Tmpgenc to whack them back together into a compressed format.

hey Knight try using Nero 6.6, u have to use "Convert DVD - Video Movies to Nero Digital [TM] tho and it ends up being a 700 or 800 meg file...and it takes about 45 to 75 min. Another way is VCD GAlaxy that takes a bout 2 hrs cheers.

Nero is a good way to convert dvd (vob and ifo) to avi. It takes me around 35-45 mins to convert a normal uncompressed DVD to a 1GB avi file.
