for starter what survers are currently up? The none lagit bf and css players have no server. So every lan so far I have had to make a server for them. The ftp leaching system needs to be explained to the incapable. The bbq times should be jundged by a hands up form the hungry so that the counter sells at a better time, thus giving you more income and feeding the hungry crowdz. I still beleive that the ice in my esky melts to fast, Is there a way to help that? How often are the raffels held? How can you better help the people to get there stoof out of the car and into the holiday retreat, as to say is there room for cars to go under the car park to drop it off? :P

- at the moment i believe there is a CS:S server and a UT2004 server installed on the DGA server, but we'll basically chuck on anything which is getting a play.
- dga does NOT, and never will, support the playing of pirated games. for us to host 'non-legit' servers would be not only illegal, but incredibly stupid.
- all the tools you need to set up your own ftp servers are readily available at every lan. if you need assistance in setting these up, ask any dga admin. that's why we're there. i personally do at least two or three little walk-throughs each DGA for people who have never used FTP before.
- we're terribly sorry if the BBQ is held at a time at which you are not hungry, but the current system is unlikely to change simply on account of this.
- use a better esky.
- door prizes and raffles are based purely on the availability of prizes, which at the moment isn't great. we are working on this, however.
- we'll help your parents and old ladies with gear which isn't their own, simply because we're such incredibly considerate kind-hearted people. everyone else, however, can carry their own gear in. we are not baggage handlers. also, do NOT park in the under-cover area. please, think of the greek-school kiddies. also think how much eater will hurt you if he catches you doing it.
If the ice in your esky melts too fast then maybe, I don't know buy a fridge. But then if you could afford to buy a frigde you could also buy legit copies of halflife 2 and BF.

Tell Coups that if she logs into the DGA website, and goes to the 'register' page, she'll be able to confirm her registration there.
Ok ok I admit I am a cheap bastard and I can't even afford games aswell as a better esky. My lunch money however only allows me to have a few bucks a week. Would salt do anything to your esky? Im 16 years old and I am OLD.. mabye lazy just has something to do with it... I was just thinking.. Again... If someone walks up and takes my food or a drink out of my (MELTED ICE!)water esky. what should I do? a. wak them accross the head and take it back. b. Start screaming and crying for it back. c. ring mummy and daddy d. wing and nag to you mob? :smile: :-D :p
I thought the last LAN was much better organised. I really appreciated the timetable printout and it did help to have it up on the projector as well. Mungus has an extremely loud and clear voice, good for getting everyone's attention. Well done to all the admin who organise these events. It is sad to see that the numbers are dropping - I know it was a hard weekend with competition such as the Fred's Pass Show and Arafura Games, but even the LAN before was fairly short on players as well. What happened to TN1 and his followers? He was sprouting a lot on the forum about what he wanted to play at the LAN and didn't even come along! I would have liked to play Alien vs Predator2, maybe we could play that next time. Once again - well done, I for one really enjoyed myself.
