In summary, the Internode and iiNet DSLAM's are being commissioned concurrently now, as the first of many ways in which Internode and iiNet's network teams will be working together from this point :)

most likely it is grandfathered, probably the one that I'm on, which is 60gb for $60 a month (easy reach 60 classic), however if you bundle with internode (which you should), that will give you the bundling discount of $20 dollars. Which brings easy 200 bundle to $80, which is 3 or 4 dollars cheaper than easy reach 60 classic + telstra budget phone line. So it's cheaper.
and it gets you 200gb instead of 60gb, and you can use extreme line profiles, which cuts some irrelevant ms value off your huge NT style ping.
Most importantly it lets you use the internode POP which will let you see hot singles in Darwin instead of Adelaide, not to mention local gaming pings.
ALSO it gets you onto internode hardware, which uses internode contention ratios, and doesn't get you fucking congested like I am on the nightcliff exchange, courtesy of telstra.

yeah the line rental is what made me go naked - the extra cost of the plan is less than my phone bill.
so saving something in the order of "0 a quarter, whilst moving from 60gb to 200gb.

Bundle costs exactly the same as naked per month, except you can get the bundle for free with contract and naked requires a setup fee of $79 + 24 months, or "29 + 1 month.
Naked comes with free "0 credit on voip though, however the base voip plan with internode is $5 a month for "0 credit and it would be $9 cheaper to get that instead of the "29 fee over 24 months.
If you're not going to use the voip, naked is more painful and expensive. With the pricing as it is currently.

i have tried to report it, but the usual spool is some overseas person with a bad accent telling me everything is fine it must be my equipment and to call back during the day to speak with another department that is closed atm, and of course during the day the congestion isn't any where near as bad. at nights my speeds are shit, ping skyrockets to 200 and streaming becomes nearly impossible on a apparent 1.4mbps connection.

Same, for multiple Telstra internet direct customers. No resolution to date. Have also called account managers for the TID customers but that doesn't seem to make a difference either.

It appears that by mid march, a new DSLAM will be put in [to nightcliff] and the current one will be split over to it.
Also for each non-telstra DSLAM about 400 ports will be moved off Telstra's across all enabled exchanges.

Thanks Raker, yeah I have noticed that since I first moved into my place (7 months ago) I was getting decent speeds and was getting 70-90ms on Battlefield 3 in every game, lately in the past 2 months my latency in Bf3 has been jumping between 150-400+ even during early mornings. I've also noticed my download speeds dwindling to less then 800kbps and I'm on ADSL2+ and live less then a km or 2 away from the exchange.
Several months ago for the first few months I was getting between 3 to 6mbps download speeds on a single line.

DSLAMS up here have 2000 port compatibility off a 150Mbps backhaul.
All the new ones are 400 port off 1Gbps. These are the new ones going in everywhere.
Darwin has a lot of older DSLAMS which has a lot of people hanging off them.
It will be interesting to hear if everything gets better after next month.

Apparently alot of Agile migrations in the NT have been rejected by Nodes systems for unknown reasons. They know about it and working through the requests manually.
Might be a good idea to call up Node and ask about your migration status so you dont slip between the cracks.
As usually, very good phone tech support with no wait time.
