Post 2

hahaha.
So true :P

Troy at work calls me an Alliance poofter :P

Post 3

He's well trained in horde doctrine :)

Post 4

in order to be accurate, the last frame should have panned out to show the dozen extra alliance supporters, because we all know he wouldn't have started out a fight without at least a 5:1 numbers advantage.

Post 5

there were also clearly no shamans involved, otherwise the last frame would have depicted a smoking crater with the horde guys waiting for them to respawn.

Allaince would've still lost.

If there was a Paladin there the fight would still be going :P

Post 9

Heretic was watching two level 60 pallys duel it out one night.
Fight took over 10 minutes :P

Post 10

milenko how would your warrior go against a pally of the same lvl

Post 11

lol...ha ha ha....if the pally was good, lenko would be smashed

Post 12

sif mate, lenko is teh shizit!!!

Lenko > all

Post 13

heh you have to kill pallies at least three times before they stay dead :S

Post 14

mmm...3 if they area shit pally

8 if they are good and use all their abilitys and a healing potion or 2

Post 15

Depends.

If im pure defensive spec, a pally actually has a hard time against me. I have alot of interrupts that fck up their healing (shield bashes, vengance (stun) ) etc.

But to be honest, warriors just plain suck in pvp full stop.
Well, that statement isnt entirely true. If a warrior is 'MS' built (Mortal Strike), they are quite powerful 1v1, they are actually known for killing paladins fast. BUT, they have very poor tanking ability for raids.
My warrior is almost pure defensive spec (except the useless talents taht arent needed), which makes me great for being the Main Tank in instances , but makes me EVERYONES bitch in pvp :(

But then again, it all comes down to gear and skill of the player.
So you can never definatively say whats better or worse :P

ROFL. I kick the shit out of Pallys on my Rogue and I have fought some of the best Pally's on Blackrock. Pally's are one of the worse classes for pvp.

The only wars that are able to kill me are the MS builds with Arc Reapers that hit me for 500 damage each swing. If I don't **** up my stun-lock combo.

Just out of curiosity neotheo what's you char's name and lvl?

Post 17

that picture is hell funny, im gonna save that one and mail it out.

I used to have an arms spec warrior that i got to level 46, and i didnt have trouble in pvp as long as i used potions - free actions, all the protect potions, etc etc. I found that most classes dont know what do do if their snares fail, and once that happens you just beat them to death with the biggest 2 hander..I had trouble against rogues though, cos the cheesy bitches always use the stunlock..

Not sure if this is relevant once you get to the higher levels, but I cant see why it wouldnt work.

Post 18

Ive beaten a level 56 warrior on my 47 rogue in a real all guns blazing duel. Proudest moment of my warcraft life :)

Post 19

For the amount that rogues bitch about killing warriors, its really not that hard for em at the end of the day.
But 9 levels higher, thats a damn nice effort blue :)

Post 20

I wish bliz would give hunters some lovin', I started playing again and tried out a hunter. It's pretty damn fun but I get sad every time I ding cause I know I'm getting closer and closer to becoming obselete :(

Post 21

Obsolete?
Man, hunters = essential in instances like Onyxia. Just wait til Blackwing Lair opens up, Hunters are going to be just as valued as mages.
Ranged DPS for hunters is nothing to scoff at. A good hunter can kill any other class in the game with ease.
In all fairness though, my hunter is only level 18, but every hunter i've seen, absolutely pile on the damage !!

Post 22

I've been doing quite well with my hunter, but im getting mixed decisions about which tree i want to spec in, Beast Mastery seems the way to go with Spirit Bond because at lvl 60 with a fast attack pet, 40 health a hit is a big lifesaver, but damage is sacrificed somewhat as opposed to a marksman hunter, but i think it more than makes up for it, as i believe pets are a crucial part of the hunter so beast mastery seems the logical choice.

Post 23

I've had to gf go down the marksmanship path with improved Aspect of the Hawk. Damage that is done is stupidly insane. Aimed shot to start off with is about 800 for a crit. In normal battle if I went without an ambush, the damage that a hunter does in ranged tears me a new one.

Post 24

Beast all the way for lvling then Marksman when you hit 60.

Post 25

Cheers Evil, i was thinking about it like that.

Post 26

wewt, really? go my hunter then ^_^

Post 27

Yeh definately stick with it tard. My warrior got pinged for 2600dmg on a crit from a hunter the other day. Thats about 1/2 my hp gone in one attack.
Mind you, he had the Crafted epic gun...the one that looks like a super-soaker.

Post 28

I've read on the forums anyway there is very little difference between lvl 60 gun and a lvl 4 ornate blunderbuss as an example :) The crits had almost no difference between the two.

Post 29

There would be a huge difference, believe me. The only attacks that it may not affect are the magical ones, such as Arcane shot. Magic attacks and skills tend to do a base damage and base crit damage range.

If you used a 45dps Gun, and a 7dps gun, the standard auto-shoot crit ranges would be insanely different.

Its like saying a warrior would hit for as much damage, if he used a 2dps sword, instead of a 53dps sword :P

Post 30

Not according to the screenshots i saw. Go look on the hunter forum.

Post 31

base damage doesn't have as much effect on hunter specials as it does on warrior damage.

Post 32

Minorci, Im a L55 pure marksman spec hunter, and while I'll admit I cant melee for shit, and I dont have the most health, I can take an elite a level above me down to 300 hp before he even starts heading to me.

Ive found a concussion shot timed with the pets attack, then an arcane, and a serpent sting and just let the bow fire away, throwing in a stun every now and then for good emasure, and all should need to do is heal your pet occasionally, should it run to you, disengage, and if that fails, feign death.

Also, with the gun/bow argument, its a moot point once you get the hunter epic quest, as the bow from that surpases all:

well...i found the weapon i want, but unlikely i will get it

http://thottbot.com/?i=37426

perfect for a pally IMO

Post 34

Perfect for a Druid maybe, but a Pally no.

Post 35

why?...i think its perfect for pally

what would u suggest for pally then?

Post 36

i'll be in on that 1.
when I finally get up there...am lvl 17 Druid at the moment.

Post 37

Quote from paladin:

Yeh thats what i was sayin.
Any attack (ie spell, talent attacks) are based on a set damage range, so dps of weapon is negated.
However, a regular autoshoot (in the case of a Hunter) will be adversely affected by teh dps of the weapon they use. Its the same for a warrior, except for the skills taht say +dmg on top of weapon damage.

Post 38

Disagree, its quite good for a pally.
Intel range, Stamina range, dps range and its a 2H mace. Good pally 2Hander.
If it had plus heal stats, it would be even more ideal.

Not to mention that when the crit paladin seal goes off on a sucker like this, get ready for ****en ultra-damage.

Not to mention that Druids dont melee with a 2H nearly as much as a paladin would.

However, in saying that, theres alot better out there :P

Bear Form?

Post 40

Cool comic strip :D

Post 41

WoW is starting to get really disheartening, I'm reading a bit in the forums, all this bullshit about ninja rolling and you get blacklisted etc. FFS

Bear Form?

I thought bear form used a based dps, based on level?
I didnt realise it used their current weapons dps as their attack while in bear form. Thats kinda homo :/

Just dont roll on shit you dont need / use, and you will be fine :)

Post 44

Ok but i just dont like how people say Hunters should only roll on ranged gear, they dont need a melee weapon. If a 2h epic drops im sure as ****ing hell going to roll on it. 2h weaps for hunters are almost essential in my opinion. This bs about hunters don't melee is crap.

Hunters dont need it as _much_ as the other classes...eg. warriors can use bows, but they wouldnt roll on one if a hunter needed it, because its not as important for them as a good hand weapon.

Ive found that if youre open about your intentions when the group gets together though, theres generally no problems rolling on something youve said youre looking for.

Post 46

Only problem being, is in the case of random Epic drops.
See, the method of thinking is this.

Warriors, Paladins, ONLY use melee weapons. Warriors only use guns for pulling.
A hunters main weapon, is their Bow/Gun. Hunters should typically not engage in melee combat. A good hunter should always have a ranged shot on their targets.

Another way to looking at it, is an Epic gun/bow drops. As a warrior, i scream "i can use that, im rolling". I roll, i win. Every single hunter is going to be fkn pissed at me, caus they KNOW i wont use it as my primary weapon. Same goes for hunters rolling on awesome 2Handers.

It took me a long-time to get over the greed aspect of the game, as in, i want everything. To a degree, im still a bit greedy (ie, i want everything that drops :P), but i now only roll on item upgrades for myself, which are few and far between at the moment.

*Also, i should note, that when epic items drop in Random pickup groups, its usually greed rolled anyway.

Post 47

heh, when it comes to epics, i may not have a use for that dwarven hand cannon, but i'd sure as hell have a use for the 500+ gold i could get on the AH for it
