It's pretty small due to it being, primarily, a place for those living in Darwin, NT, Australia to congregate. However, it has spread to other reaches of Australia... and we always get the occasional Swedish CS player or American come on.
At a guess, we probably have around 100 currently active members... probably less.

Yes we are Australian, yes we aren't very big compared to most gaming sites, most of the people are very close and good friends here and that's how we like it, new people are most welcome however. So yeah something like that. ;)

I am going to be very careful about how I say this but as a 'new' person i do not feel that welcome at all. I originally posted in order to find a WOW group based in Darwin, but ended up in a good guild on another server. I thought I would persevere with these forums as they seemed like a good way to get myself involved with other people who are interested in same things I am, but I still feel like the wesley in the corner talking to himself.
Granted, I have never been to one of the LAN's you guys organise, which is why im still persisting with this site as I'll never really know how things are until I meet you people face to face. One day maybe Ill get around to going to one.

lol I doubt I will be posting anything useful anytime soon either...I was going to post my computer specs on that other thread but it would have been something like
p4 3.0 or 3.2ghz (cant remember)

plays doom3 well, and wow.
Thats how much attention I pay to the technical side of things. But its not really like I lose anything by speaking my mind here either, only my time which I seem to have a great deal of.

Anyone is welcome, it just helps to be apart of the community and share your experiences with others here. Posting your system would have been cool, not everyone has great systems or knows much about computers, most realise this. It was only a way to see what people are running.. any sort of insults I would have delt with.

Lol, go to a couple of lans, play some online games with people, buy and sell on the trading post and don't be a complete wanker (as some people have been...) and you'll start to meet people.
It helps to know some other people on here to start with.
I've been hanging around here on and off for while and people still don't really talk to me much :( but I've worked out who most people are from going to lans and can put a name to the faces of most of the Darwin people at least.

Thats ok as Im playing BF2 at the moment, is good fun. Loved Wow but is too hard to play at higher levels and still have a life outside of it. Between BF2 and Wow I am only playing 10 hrs a week, and you cant get anything done in Wow with this sort of time frame

I came here for a reserved spot in Counter-Strike (not Source). Then eventually stuck around. I can say that I'm a bit of regular here (whether liked or not...), but considering I knew noone (still never met anyone face to face [from memory]), never been to one of the lans and rarely see anyone in any server, I've come a long way. Just be like some other people and spam - that gets you attention ;) as one person found out after making 100ish posts in 2 days.

lol u live in Karama & have new telephone wiring in the streets but too far away from the Casuarina exchange.... that’s got to sux. I'm in Anula & not far from the Cas exchange but does have crap old telephone wiring & crapy high pings sometimes even worse if it rains. sigh :(
