I like the mice.. but the keyboard, not sure I like the look of it, the features seem pretty useful though. Logitech seem to be getting right into the gaming area pretty well lately.
thoughts?

In what respect? (I didn't read the entire article).
I'll probably grab the G7 (apparently the sleep-lag issue has been resolved which was very noticable with the MX1000, which was my only problem with it).
I read a quick preview and apparently it will have the same 'feel' (there's no other way I can explain it) as the MX1000.
I disliked how the MX1000 acted in games: couldn't lift the mouse without it still tracking etc. I found it to be very good outside of gaming... but in games I just couldn't stand it. All seems to be a part of the laser technology - I might just have to get used to it :(

The keyboard whilst it looks OK is wanky and I can achieve the same reult with the LCD screen through an LCD module and I'd get to keep my wireless A-Shape k/b.
The mouse is what got my attention: During normal office use, the mouse will achieve up to four and a half days of battery life in gaming power mode before needing a battery swap.
Doe that mean that if the battery goes flat, instead of not having a mouse until it finishes charging, I get to simply swap the battery with the one in the charging unit? If so I will DEFINATELY get that mouse...if not I might anyway as I could switch to my current cordless mouse in the event of a flat battery, as it shares the same recieving unit as my k/b.
I've had no problems with my mx1000 mouse ;) i love it

I wouldnt mind both the Mouse and the Keyboard.
Wireless technology is getting better, when they first came out you were replacing batteries more then actually using the mouse, now they come with rechargers and heaps better response time :)
The keyboard has two full-speed USB ports built in, making it easy to plug in a mouse, a headset or another peripheral, without filling up all the ports on the PC. The keyboard also features a gaming mode switch, which, when turned on, disables the Windows key so gamers won't get dropped out of a game if they accidentally press it.
this alone will justify a purchase
Or you can do as OverDrive does and just rip out the windows key :)
I personaly dont like the keyboard at all, im more then happy with my "0 black generic keyboard.
I'm thinking of writing software to disable to windows key function. Then I could sell it for "00 knowing damn well at least one person would pay it...and then release it on bittorrent :p

only thing wrong with wireless keyboards is when you get a phone call it ****s with your keyboard LOL..
be sitting there playing game get a phone call suddenly you wont turn WTF... lol..
The LCD screen on the keyboard seems kinda pointless... I mean how often do you look down at your keyboard when your fragging... You should be too busy looking at the screen...
The mice look almost exactly the same as MX series mice just with better internals... Logitech need to somehow engineer a different ergonomic look but with similar/better feel :P I mean the pinky ridge is good but overall the mouse still looks the same...
The one thing I do like though is the fact that you can mix and match weights in the G5 to suit your tastes...

I use windows+d, windows+r, Windows+e, windows+Pause break all the time, and whenever I need to get to the start menu, and what ever. so I want it off during games, and on during windows...
i like the mouse, i'll get it...
only thing i had problems with the mx1000 is the charging. depends how much the keyboard is...if its something like $300 it doesnt justify its self.

i kid, i kid. also, why would you need ammo/health info on your keyboard? isn't it easier to just have it on your screen!? keyboard seems like a wank factor to me, but thats jsut my stupid opinion. the old mx500 is still goin hard so won't need that mouse just yet

wrap your game shortcut in a script that disables it, launches the game, then reenables on game exit.

hehe looks like ill be buying a G5 at christmas, but not so sure about the keyboard....
The low weight of the mouse allows fast moves and zero inertia, which are important for minimizing fatigue during long gaming sessions. .........
OMFG!!!!! this is getting sad
if you get tired from moving a mouse how do you eat a maccas hamburger how do you do anything... if you get tired from using your mouse you should be shot!!!!
