We did DM last night Tribute run and Ice Trapped the big guard dude to get the ogre costume. Anyway he decided to start floating around in a big ice cube doing his normal patrol but still had all the effects of a normal frozen guy, he didnt agro other mobs nor agro us. Was hilarious for us at the time :)

Well i did, and when he stealths i cant find him, especially in Un'gorro (We were farming Devilsaurs like there was no tomorrow :D ).
He's covered in brown leather items and his weapons aren't enchanted. Bastard is like Houdini. I have to select his party portrait to find him, seriously.

My rogues hit his first benchmark. Ive completed the Stormshroud set (that my alt crafted, yay), got all but 1pc of Cardaverous set and im one Piece away from completing shadowCraft. I kinda like collecting :)
Got his Skullforge Reaver the other morning and has his heartseeker. Also got some pretty sweet boots from ZG, which are almost identicle to SC boots, but add +1% chance to hit.

Overall happy with him ;)

Sitting at about 24% crit chance.
Id like to get Dal'rends sacred charge next, and his guardian too if possible.
Im also trying for Painweaver band.
My chances of getting epics are pretty low (ones worth working for, that is), but my Breastplate of Bloodthirst is getting closer and closer. Got 3/5 Skins of shadow, 9/10 stitchings and the arcanite. The hide of the beast will be the really tough bit.
Not far off the ZG rewards, the faction and coins is proving to be hard though :P
2 heads and 1 hexxer head away from getting the belt of preserved heads. Already have the epic armsplints for the Zandalar wrist reward too.
The Zandalar madcap's Tunic is pretty nice reward, but i have to be exalted with the Zandalar tribe. Thats alot of work :S

Well, I had fun with two of the new dragons today. Will post pictures of the takedown of the one in Duskwood and some piccies of the Wipe after Wipe after Wipe after Wipe of the evil motherf'r in the Hinterlands.

HELLO 800+ Shadowbolts hitting EVERY SINGLE TARGET in about 300 yds. Whether you're dealing damage or not. Dunno what triggers it yet, at first we through Shadow dmg... nope. Btw, it doesn't need los to kill you, you can be stuck behind a hill and it'll still get you. Bleh~

LoS is heaps dodgey in wow..

LoS has made me stop playing pretty much. Casters are destroyed by it

He's a tough bitch that's for sure. Over 70 people wiped in under 15 seconds... MT's healers all get raped by the bolts. Usually mages/locks die first, followed by priests, then MT/OT, hunters followed by rogues/druids and pally's last.

Although, a shaman could probably solo it. Might be hard, but I doubt it :P

I reckon everyone has to be in melee range (his hits are hard but the shadowbolts - which I'm guessing have no max range but have a min range - are killing the raids), but noone would try it.

Supposedly he's high end - MC, low/pre-BWL...

Im happy with by gear so far - Dragonstalker Helm, Giant Stalker Legs/Belt/Bracers and my sinew from Onyxia for my epic quest. Just need the damn leaf now >.>

Rag is easy - just get FR and then spam mass DPS. We got him second shot. Although wiping at 5% sucks balls :-/

Ah gratz on Vael, such a fun fight. Once you get past those 5-6second learning curve wipes that is hahaha.

We were all set to kill rag on monday, for the first time, after having a couple of previous attempts and getting him constantly down to 5-7%. We'd cleared to domo the day before, went back monday, killed him, spawned rag, had a quick run through to show the guys that were new to the plan that day, got him to 50%. So we decided to go all out with the buffs this time, ported out, got darkmoon faire buffs, turned in rend's head for warchiefs blessing, turned in onyxias head for dragonslayer buff, then went into lbrs to give everyone the +80 FR buff. Get back into MC, clear run straight down to rag, still another 15 or so of us on the way back from lbrs, and this pops up:
[SERVER] Restart in 15:00

Now that would have sucked heaps.

yeah the vael kill was really special for us, we lost half our officers 2 weeks ago and this is what we needed to keep guild alive. i woke up at 3am on sat and sun to raid for 12 hours each day constantly wiping on vael. it was a really great accomplishment for us, one of our members even started crying heh. a moment to remember :)

You will be pleased to know then that the bonus DKP for downing a first boss has been replaced with bonus DKP/wipe if it was a good solid effort. So you won't fall too far behind for missing 1 week.

Vael is sooooo much easier since the patch. DPS is substantially increased as players can now spam their abilities faster and more effectively than previous. On our first attempt after patch we had him to 16% before our first tank went down and were stunned.

Yeah vael is heaps easier with the improvements in FPS and Tranq totems.

Should have rag down this week. Damn hectic, if we had had one more go at it that night we would've had him. Unfortunately, he despawned :(

umm yeah this is my preist with benediction finally made, took me one month longer than it should have to get EoD.. first time a shaman ninja'd Domo's chest and left guild :( and second time i got dc so i wasnt on the loot list >:( and 3rd time i finalyl got it !

Selpa, just curious... why didn't you get the Healing +55 enchant to the Bene? I've always wondered why so many healers go the +22int over the +55 healing. As a mage, +30 spell damage is far superior to +22int... is this not the same for healers?

Also, what's your UI? I've always wanted those Party Health/Mana bars (Unitframes I believe they are)...

Thats the main argument I've heard for priests taking it over +55 healing.

You have to keep in mind that its not only Benediction, it is Anathema as well. You can only have 1 enchant that is common to both sides. +healing is useless on Anathema and +Dmg is useless on Benediction. Hence +22int is the best choice if u wish to both PvP and PvE with the staff as it has benefit to both forms.

my guild raids about 3 days a week and whenever im not raiding im pvping...

the other reason is that when uni starts back up waking up at 3am for raids is kinda out of the question so ill prolyl spec shadow and pvp whenever i have time:/

and i use nurfed UI

a = The number of times you cast the given spell
b = The number of +Healing points you have
c = The % the given spell benefits for +Healing (i.e. Flash Heal Rank 7 = 43%, Renew Rank Highest = 100% spread over the 5 ticks, Greater Heal Rank 4 = 100%)
d = The amount of intellect points given up to get +healing points (i.e. Trading Truefaith Vestments +73 healing for Devout Robe +24 intellect)
15 - represents the conversion on intellect to mana.
e = Efficiency of the given spell (HP per mana 99% accurate formula is 0.25(min + max)(2 + your chance to critical)
f = A ratio. Greater than 1 favors +healing, less than 1 favors +intellect. (i.e. 1.01 = 1% better, 0.99 = 1% worse)

(a * b * c) / (d * 15 * e) = f

So to find out how many times you have to cast a certain spell to make up for the loss of the intellect leave "a" blank and solve the equation. Set f to 1 if you want to find what it takes to make b healing = d int. If you want to know what it takes to make it 10% better than Int set it to 1.1 if you want to see what it takes to make it Int 10% better set it to 0.9.

If you know how many times during the course of a given battle you will cast a spell and want to know if it more or less efficient in respect the +Healing given up for +intellect then solve for f.

So you have to calculate the spells you use out each to see how well the +healing works out for you, but since I mainly use Flash Heal and Renew that what I tend to calculate out.

So.... lets just look at FHR7 (Flash Heal Rank 7) as reference.

1 = (A * 55 * 0.43) / (22 * 15 * 2.77)
1 = 23.65A / 914 (By Algebra)
914/23.65 = A (By cross multiplication)
A = 38.65

Since A = 38.65 you would have to cast FHR7 ~39 times to make equal to or better than have +22 intellect.

Just to let you know how reasonable that is when can look at that amount of mana required to do this. FHR7 cost 380 mana.

39 times * 380 mana = 14820 mana.

That’s a bit of mana. Your average person looking at these enchants are going to be well equipped so we can assume that they will have 7K mana unbuffed and 8K buffed. Basically this person would have to engage in a fight in which they consume approximately 2 full mana bars.

You’re only going to have access to that mana during 5 minute battles. Now, my stats don't include potions, demonic runestones, inner focus etc. So the 3 minute could easily get to 15K total mana point as well.

Basically in pvp as a priest the likelihood of using that much mana before your dead is minimal

depends on the pvp. alterac valley for example i am constantly oom.

thats my point... hence why people get +int rather then +healing

So u back off a bit and drink. There's no need to conserve mana in PvP as its easy to get out of combat. I drop about 1k mana to gain 500-600 health in PvP as you are useless if u get 1-2 shotted at the start of a fight.

i dont think everyone reads that far into it....

one of the reasons i chose +22 int is cus i had the mats already on me and an enchanter who could do it standing next to me..

ive been meaning to get that game, i played on free servers for a while, and they sucked, but i herd lots about the proper servers and sounds good, anyone know were i can get a cheap copy of wow (new copy)?

Big W / Kmart were selling them for about $50.

EB and the likes still have them for $90.

oh ok thx, i guess ill go get it and start learning how to properly play, instead of having exp x 100 on free servers

Use the Elements deck it's fun watching both crit on the same swing as a ss or evis crit. :D

KT Alliance has got Vael down and headed into the Supression room when Vael is down in one go. Practice on the mobs is currently in progress...

Once Vael's down the next 5 bosses just roll over and hand over loot. Trash mobs can be more difficult than the actual bosses.
