Ok. Went for a test drive in this car today and OMG. It rocks. Feels much better to drive. Stopping power is just surprising. Take off is Very fast, faster then i expected. All in all a very nice car. Im looking at buying one.. :o First car Ever to be Designed and Built in Australia.
While I congratulate Mitsubishi for their intiative, they could've doubled sales of the already fairly decent Magna for $5: get a 6 year old to redesign the appearance. The last lot were butt fugly and that's why they didn't sell.
I think it looks like a good car. I admittably haven't liked the last few Magna's, but they've come to grow on me. They do seem like a good car although I've heard things that once they break down once, they never stop breaking down.
Metal, would you get the standard model (SE?) or something along the lines of the Sports model or VR-X. (VR-X Magna's do look better! Wouldn't wanna miss out ;)) What colour would you go for? Manual or Auto?
Edit: I don't believe Magna's are old mans cars... 300ZX, Maxima's, MX-5/6 ARE old man's cars.
It's called, funnily enough, a footbrake. And yes, it appeared on the Avalon.
Amph, Mitsubishi is reknowned for its ability to snag the 'old man' market. Don't believe me? Read any car ownership study.
MX-5 / MX-6 and 300ZX's are far from an 'old man's' car either. Dunno how you could ever perceive them that way.
MX-5's greatest market is middle-aged females / males / enthusiasts. MX-6 is Middle aged female / Males in their 20's and Teens. And 300ZX is pretty much Teens/20's Male exclusively. As cow said, Magna drivers are, more often than not, over 40.
The younger market, when talking about Mitsubishi, lean towards the ever popular Lancer. Hmmm, I wonder why that is...
