Well, i will most likely be joining the fray with the SB crew.
I vote a guild of Undeadites :)

Prob close paladin, we have about 15-20 actives now running around L2-ES from the darwin crew, pickup another 10 or so old SB that never came to L2 that play WOW now, pickup a bunch of GU crew and assorted other aussies and i'd say we will have 40 for the full raids.

But honestly we are looking forward to the 5 man instances more, after spending 2 years in full groups and raiding most weekends we are looking for a quiet time :)

and i would say a combined GU guild is the way to go...

We were always going to, I liked it when I played it when it first came out, we had just invested too much time into Lineage to game swap so fast.

But we have had a castle in L2 for nearly 6 months now, defended it numerous times and seen about all there is to see in that game.

There should have been a combined GU guild a long time ago but I think noone wanted to or had the time to lead it. SB has a pretty good internal structure so I don't think i'll stray too far from that, its worked ok for 10 +years so far.

And yes Horde all the way :)
And i'm banning my players from playing Gnomes..i hate stunties

the 5-mans are WAY more fun.. especially 5-manning the raid instances. but you plateau fairly quickly strength-wise if you stay out of the end game instances :( (and they are basically 5 hour grind fests, not a whole load of fun)

yeah i've played alliance too much, too many farmers and stupid ****s :P

and L2 private servers did what i hoped, made us get over it :P

I haven't seen a real farmer for so long I kinda miss them :)

I always got a kick out of being abused in different languages

hehe i wouldnt worry about farmers in wow :P you never see them. it wont be the same as L2 retail in the olden days..

WoW farmers are easy to find. free HK"s usually too.

God no, I work part time at a finance/credit card company. I've seen to many spastics ruin their lives with credit cards so I'm too paranoid to ever get one. I'll be getting a visa debit when/if I feel the need to.

Haha, I was talking to the guy at EB today and he told me he feels so dirty selling game cards to some people. He said it makes him feel like a drug dealer when all these seedy people come in and they need game cards, like their getting a fix of crack or something.

when your a priest you get PMed constantly for raids (i was on this server anyway for a while anyway)

only rule for a mage is don't make one with a name starting with A because you will be at the top of the /who mage 60 list which means constant tell for food/water from farmers and guildless nobodies.

If you dont want to 'risk' buying the full blown game on the chance you dont like it, you can pick up a trial for about $2 at EB / Harvey's etc.
It has 12 days(?) game time and you can upgrade to a full account if you enjoy it :)

whenever they have there next realm change i'll be moving my guys to Jubei'thos, Alextrassza is just to bloody anoying with guild tabard stealers who claim "My Guild" (Stormwinds Elite) stole theirs first

perhaps you dont quite understand how realm transfers work. the chances of them being enabled from your realm to jubei'thos are incredibly slim. you either start a new character on jubei, or you don't play on it pretty much.

Yup, the chances of allowing transfers to a 'new' server are pretty slim indeed :(
If your characters are alliance Newbit (which i would assume they are, with a name like Stormwinds Elite), you'd be our enemy, caus we're all hordies! :O

Ok so ive hit a major snag. Even though i have a voucher with an alleged 10 day trial and have installed the game, i cannot register until i supply them with a credit card. I dont have one, or anyone i know that would risk giving me thier details. SO i contacted Blizzard and was told that i simply had to purchase a game card and reg with that.

So hang on

I need to purchase a $60 card, to try and reg, to try and get my free 10 days and it STILL wont register without a credit card. This is a problem, any ideas peoples?

You have to have a CC (or your mummies CC if your a youngen), to sign up for a trial account :/

Ok the following is an email correspondance from a friend of mine to Blizzard regarding activation of an account without a credit card

Hi,I am making an enquiry for a friend. He has been given a Trial of WOW but he does not have a credit or bank card.
This means that when he gets to the payment method he is unable to continue the process.
My question is this, is there any way that my friend can actually utilise his trial and see if he likes wow before he has to invest in a timecard just to create an account?
He does not want to invest in a time card because as yet he does not know if he likes the game and it defeats the purpose of having a trial period in the first place if he has to pay just to use it.

Yes I read this on your site. Now if there is anyway that my friend can actually use the trial card and create an account without this? It is all very good and well to have the setup the way that you have it but as I stated what about those people that wish to trial the game and do not have a 'credit' card. Have you any provision for them at all or are they just discriminated against because they do not conform to your user template?

I hope I can clarify. Our billing system is designed to require credit card information when setting up a guest-pass account. By "require" we mean that there is no way around this policy and we have indicated the reason for this in our previous email to you.
Please keep in mind that each full account created will receive a 30 day free trial and can be created with a pre-paid game card (you do not need a credit card). This 30 day trial is provided to our customers and is backed by a full refund of the purchase price of the game guarantee. Hold on to the receipt and the game can be returned to Vivendi Universal for a refund if you find the game to not be agreeable to you.

So they want me to purchase the game AND a time card, to waste the time card if i dont like it and try to get a refund from Vivendi, possibly taking a huge length of time. Also on the registration web site it still shows no way to input a time card to ESTABLISH an account, only to continue paying for one AFTER it is established.

There has been a veritable plethora of threads with the exact same problems on their forums. Its a fruitcake system, it really is.

Imagine being that poor kid who went and spent $2 on a trial account, only to discover he cant sign up caus his parents wont allow him to use their CC online. Hopes and Dreams have been destroyed.

This is exactly what i though. Surely the majority of WOW players wouldnt be old enough to have a credit card, and if the parents dont either, would they then resort to stealing them? With the amount of information that Blizzard require to create the account, surely they could simply ask for 100 points of ID to get an account. I mean seriuously i can get a car loan, purchase unlimited numbers of mobile phones and buy alcohol legally and easily, but i cant play an online game??
