WORLD-ranked super middleweight boxers Danny Green and Anthony Mundine will fight at Aussie Stadium in Sydney on April 19th.
The two rivals avoided each other at the fight announcement held at the venue this morning, holding separate press conferences.
Tickets will go on sale on February 22.

i personaly like mundine but i also like green. mundine has been putting off this fight for a good 2 yrs but now it will finally happen and im stoked. dont like his chances tho green is too good. is fenech training green again?

I've been on the Green Machine for a long time now, and dont like Mundine at all. However I think that Mundine has been smart putting this fight off for so long, as Danny would have pulverised him any time in the last 24 months.
Unfortunately for Australia, I think this will go Mundine's way. His fighting has improved by fighting mainly chumps for the last couple of years while Green has been fighting better fighters. Mundines only real test since Sven Ottke has been New Zealander Sean Sullivan, who was unlucky in a points decision. And nobody can questions Mundine's level of fitness.

Here are some thoughts.
1. Mundine has a suspect chin - Sven Ottke knocked him out, Sven was regarded as the lightest punching champion in 20 years.
2. Green hits quite hard, however he has problems switching to planB as his last few fights have shown.
3. Mundine doesnt have a lot of power but is very quick
4. I hate mundine the person, but Mundine the boxer is unfortunately very good, he beat Antwon Echels, one of the hardest hitting boxers in the spot by using his quickness and ring smarts.
5. Echols hits a lot harder than Green.
Green is a workhouse with good punching power, when he lands he can be devastating but his last few opponents have moved him around and not let him setup for any of his power punches.
Mundine is a very quick and agile fighter with pretty good ring smarts and good handspeed.
I can't see him knocking Green out but I can easily see him dancing around all nite and winning comfortable on points.
Green just has to land one good shot and the fight it probably his.
I want Green to win but i'm expecting Mundine to win via points.
Afterwards they will hug each and praise each other and one will end of fighting for Don King :)

waiting for prices on the tickets to come out, but a few mates and i are planning to go see this one. I think mundine is the better boxer, but he needs to watch his chin.
