Well some of you dont like ie.. too bad... I been using ie7.5 beta 1 for the past 3 months now normally i dont like touching beta's as they are unstable.. but i have had 0.. yes NO problems with ie 7.5 b1.. now Microsoft have put out IE Beta 2.. and its got a few more Features if you can get a copy test it out.. me i just look at the web browser market share...Opera is only around 2%, Firefox is like 25% :grin: IE of course has like 65% but thats understandable considering is packed with the OS so most ppl dont bother changing

U can say all u want about mozilla.. but ie comes with windows dont have to download or install anything.. and it does the same thing as mozilla.. sooo why not use it..

They came up with the concept the same time, independantly of the InternetWorks browser. Note how the Wikipedia article you link to specifies Opera as one of the pioneers of tabbed browsing, as opposed to Mozilla:
"Opera added tabs to its existing MDI interface. These pioneers were followed by a number of others like Mozilla"

Windows Media Player comes with windows, doesnt mean that i wont use Winamp for music and VLC for video instead cause its better.
Windows Messenger comes with windows, doesnt mean that i wont use msn messenger and icq for messenging instead cause its better.
Windows XP Firewall comes with windows xp, doesnt mean that i wont use ZoneAlarm/Norton/Mcafee/etc instead cause its better.
MS Paint Comes with windows, doesnt mean that i wont use correl or adobe for images instead cause its better.
The List Goes on and on....bundled does not mean better
I personally don't find tabular browsing all that good. Can multiple instances of Explorer 7 be opened in a single session? Then maybe, but otherwise, it's just not really all that important for me. Aside from the GUI, has it really changed the Internet as a medium all that much? Lets be honest now, not much has really changed since IE5 days.

Agreed, when I get a customers computer with IE and I keep having to Right Click --> Open In A New Window after centre clicking and getting nothing I start to get really frustrated :p
Yeah but there is one little pet hate that niggles at me with firefox... Thats the fact that it seems to crap itself when doing Java... Thats about the only time I'll use IE...

You probably installed Firefox after installing your JRE or JDK. Try reinstalling Java, it will pick up Firefox then.
