Nah seriously well done movie, keeps with the original feel of Transformers very well. It's basically non stop action like most things Transformers. The CGI work is absolutely mind blowing.

Personally I thought the start was a tad lame. Beside the nervousness about the movie turning into shite at any moment, it did indeed do a good job of its crash-course in history and character introduction for the audience. Once things ramped up however, it just rocked. It was big-budget hollywood action... with Autobots. If you went to see a movie with qualities rivaling The Godfather, you saw the wrong movie.
Easily Bay's best movie, a total blast. While so much changed, it was still so very Transformers as we knew it. It got a standing ovation by hundreds of Transformer nerds in the cinema I was in. Clapping, cheering... hilarious. Even my girlfriend was sitting on the edge of her seat throughout the last 30 minutes and hasn't stopped rambling about it.
The humour didn't distract from the outrageous sci-fi plot nor the action. Oh and by the way, the CG was simply spectacular. Life-like. I went in with such low expectations, but I'm so, so happy they didn't butcher it.
My only dissapointment was that they didn't bring back any element of the original movie's theme track. Will go and see it again if the opportunity arrises.
PS. hilarious 2 seconds of the movie for Xbox 360 owners. Just keep the start-up tune/tone in your head.

when bumblebee is in the car yard, he's next to a yellow VW. prime giving his speech about human potential positively made me goosebumpy. prime telling the autobots to roll out, and 'one shall stand, one shall fall'. also at the end when megatron was dumped into the deep ocean.. i'm convinced that's a reference to the decepticons base in the cartoon series, where they rebuilt. spi.. i mean sam telling whats her face that there's more to you than meets the eye. that one got a huge cheer in my showing. zomg. gold class for the next viewing i think[/hide]

in my opinion great movie but optimus was a bit of a pansy against megatron which aint right cause megatron never could beat optimus in the series without a cheapshot.
Also 300 still greatest movie of 2007 imo with transformers in at 2nd place

Just saw Transformers, i have to say it was better than i expected....
Although some very corny bits which should of been taken out.
ie: The Call-center guy telling about the premium offers.
THe movie was very good, and the CGI was unbelievable.
