Well thank god my telstra plan has nearly expired, I'm looking into getting a new provider, Im wanting it for VOIP gaming and mass dwnloading 20 G should be plenty, at the moment i have a 12Gig dwn/up load limit. I'm not that net savvy i'm affraid BTW I'm in the Winnellie region of Darwin and I'd rather buy the VOIP phone seperately. Currently impaying $70 a month for the following.

Your line speed is 496 kbps (0.5 Mbps). Your download speed is 62 KB/s (0.06 MB/s).
I'm with TPG and I've found them to be pretty darn reliable. I'm on an 8Mbit 40GB plan for $99 a month and it's been smooth sailing pretty much the whole time. The only real issue I had was when my landline was accidentally disconnected briefly by some monkey at Telstra messing up one of my orders, knocking out my net connection. I gave TPG a ring and explained the situation and they got me back up and running quicker than the time they actually quoted me, for no charge.
Rather then make a new thread I'm hijacking this one :D So what ISP did you end up going with Midgit and how did it work out for you?
You see I recantly moved in with friends and they have dodo. Wow what a SHIT isp... sure it's umlimited but constant timeouts, unable to dl more then 12k/s I hear they are limiting people who use P2P.. half the time the speeds are slower then dialup!!!
Anyway I've always been an internode fan even if they are a little pricey but I was just curious a few other peoples opinions on some ISPs in Darwin that give better service then dodo.
I'm currently on Dodo aswell and I'm not very happy.
I will soon be moving to another isp and need some help on deciding, was wanting to go with an ISP that will do adsl2 in darwin. Living around the cas area, the only isp i've heard that will provide adsl2 in the near future are netspace. Anyone know when it might be coming?
