Anyone elses tap water just gone brown. Got a glass straight from the tap to rinse my mouth and it looks like adelaide drinking water.

it could mean that your water piping has started to leak.... but thats just me guessing

I actually had a glass of brown cloudy water here a couple of weeks ago. Was like that all night - then cleared up the next day. Still tastes terrible even without the brown cloudiness though. :P

where exactly are you? water here is fine, however sometimes a tap will give me a glass or two of dirty water. generally goes away pretty quickly.
also having lived in adelaide - adelaide water contains creatures. creatures you can see. this cannot be good.

my water is a pale amber colour, with a wedge of lime in it.
It's bubbly too, and has a decent head.
Seriously though it does sound like a broken pipe.

It usually occurs when there is increased demand for water. The pipes normally scale up with sediment and with increased demand this sediment is pulled off and put back into the water making it brown. It often happens at the start of the dry or down south when there is a long period of hot weather. It's harmless.
Best idea is to ring PWC as suggested earlier and they can tell you straight away if it's normal or get someone to come out and look for leaks, etc.
