Well, only been in QLD a few weeks and already they are throwing cyclones my way!
Simple loops
Interesting times ahead for the bundy region it seems - and the whitsundays are about to get hammered!

Fark. Cat. 5 now... Vicious.
Looks as though it'll die down before getting to the heavily populated areas a bit further south... fingers crossed.
looks nasty
the colours are pretty. :)
Acid???
JTWC - Direct hit on Hervey bay then off the Brissie..
Eeek... currently cat5 and heading directly for Hervey. It'll be in the eye of the storm.

Prediction says it'll be a cat3 when it hits, which if indeed direct, could still be massively, massively devastating.
Does anyone know if evacuation preparations are being made?
I'm just reading... the population of Bundaberg is apparently just as high as Harvey. Any news in Australia from the area? It could be in just as much trouble, if not worse, as the eye will make contact with land there first, potentially.
The population of Darwin resides in and around Harvey + Bundaberg.
Damn it looks very bad. I hope no gets hurt or killed by it. I wish all the best for those in its path and hope they make it through it.
Thing is it should looses its intensity once it hits land fall or colder waters. But it looks just to be gaining strength as it heads further south. I hope it does not hit Brisbane.
Very interesting....
Well that's a dramatic change... looks like they'll be better off, this way.
Phew, crisis averted, it seems...

I'm just not going to pay attention to their path-prediction. It changes pretty substantially every image update, and its holding power a lot longer than their predictions too. Hardly a good prediction. :P
Seems mother natures a little lost with that last pic..
mother nature can't do wrong. she does what she wants, us and our cities mean very little to her :)
Brisbane's in need of a good wash. :P
even cyclone driven rain doesnt fall that hard :(
I'm still trying to figure out why they bother trying to predict its exact path when its always so very, very wrong. :P
