New forums...

Well, theres a good side and a bad side - good side is that I recovered MOST of the old forums before they died on me.

The BAD side is that I lost ALL mesasges in the main General forum.

The main thing is that I have kept all users, their details, etc. That was the critical one.

Please feel free to explore the new forums - you may note that they are using the new domain name ;)

One thing to note is that you are now allow avatars. :)

Let me know please if the other forums have survived in tact (I think the main drama was the date/time stamp has been messed up).

Anything else please post below. I will be updating the look and feel of these forums tommorow so they don't look so damn generic.

Hey OD could i make 1 request im not sure wat happen but ages ago it seems someone had actually changed my details to my username and changed my password ect now i can't use my nick name Korny would u be able to send me my password to my email addy or to

Oh As to what I use, I use Microsofts Photodraw V2 for my artwork..

Its just their version of Photoshop.. Both are basically the same..

well ive used this phpBB before and they rock, only bad thing is each page can only hold 10 posts (unless it can be changed?). ull all get used to it, same as last time they got changed.

i havent been to new website yet (if its even up), but will check in a tick.

ok now that the case of the big signatures is fixed, all go ahead with your pretty things, just remember, be reasonable.

I would just like to add that after reading through the general forum I am already sick of picture signatures. Avatars are fine but pic sigs are anoying and make the forum harder to read.

I now realise why the old Octa and Whirlpool are my fav boards to read. No annoying pics.

Hello people.
This is my first visit to the new forums i will have to do up one of those avatars. I really dont like all those pictures in the sigs though. It really clutters it up I really dont need to see the same pic across my screen 5 times on one page. I like the colour scheme its comfortable. :) :D :shock: :wink: :P :cry:

Agree with you there Wortel but it doesn't really matter.. it's just one of those things :) I was going to say you could just turn off signatures but it doesn't appear that there is an option to do that in phpBB. :?:

Once again, when you post your message theres a tick box that says
"Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)"

Just untick it.
Then the onus is on the biznitches with the big siggy's. :)

I don't know if you understood what I meant. There is no option disable the showing of sig's completely (while viewing the forums from all users) like there is in other forum software. I'm not worried about it though.. it's probably something that they'll add later on anyway.

Anyway to view the new topics for the day or am I'm overlooking something. BTW I'm back :wink:
