I need everyone to post/email/icq/whatever me a list of online game genre's with one or more examples of currently available games - This is for the benefit of the gaming community at large in the NT, as well as everyone here, so lets show the powers that be the kind of community spirit that comes with online gaming

The scale is tipped far and away in favour of Fantasy RPGS, but here's my stab
Anarchy Online -- Has the science fiction base covered.
Evercrac... er, Everquest -- One of the myriad fantasy based games.
Asherons Call -- The one i'm most familiar with, another fantasy rpg.
Dark Age of Camelot -- Another Fantasy RPG, i list this one because its focus is more on the PvP aspect than the other MMORPGS
Up and comers to look out for tho, Neverwinter Nights and especially Star Wars Galaxies

Is it just me??? or are these the same genre?
Online games seem to be your obvious FPS, CS (you "may" have heard of it), jedi knight, quakes, ut, and tribes.
The you get the RPG of all different shapes and sizes. Noted above..plus diablo II :) (i know i know hack n slash)
Ummmm there used to be a couple of flight sim type ones around...cant remember many of those...i remember xwing v tie and xwing alliance were good. That russian IL2 thingy is spose to be a good flight sim also. multiplay. There used to be a couple of big ones around...Warbirds and an australian one...havent seen anything on those for a while.
Not sure if theres many driving online sims out there...oh yeah motor city (large multiplayer street rod, ahhh those were the days). :)
The demo of that wasnt bad, dont know how its going though.
I guess that pretty much sums up what i can think of at the moment...

My personal choice would be:
Currently Released Games - Anarchy Online, Everquest. alhtough Asherons Call interests me.
Soon to be Released Games - Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars Galaxies...
this would be good as it provides some variety to online gameplay (especially on 56k in a remote area like darwin...) rather than the typical First person shooters.
