a full list of mp3's thats alittle hard I have cd's everywhere full of the things.

thousands of mp3s me would be thinking full albums singles live .... where to begin.

Post 10

My list of mp3's is here.

Some things on the list my dad has downloaded.. but I'll listen to all of it except ABBA... hehe..

Fav's would be static-x, sevendust and soilwork atm.. opeth and mudvayne, megadeath as well... been listening to sevendust and static-x for ages. Would like more mp3's but this is good enough. Listen to a fair bit of korn.. always listened to them.

I will listen to pretty much anything - if I've got it..

Post 11

Post 14

Ill wait till I'm in more of an "invloved" mood and then respond :)

Post 15

Being an EX DJ I would have to say everything and anything. But having two daughters ( 4yrs and 2yrs ) I guess I would have to stick with some of their favourites.
Rammstein
Rob Zombie
Sonnie Terry and Brownie Mcgee
THE WIGGLES
and thats just a Saturday arvo session.....

Post 16

a Playlist? ok, you asked for it

No apologies for it either - except maybe any Madonna and Michael Jackson stuff, blame those on my Girlfriend :P

Post 17

whats that file generated with?

Post 18

Winamp   8)

Post 19

Winamp Paladin.

It's quite easy.. open Winamp and then open up the playlist. Click Add -> Add Dir and then add your mp3 directory or whatever you have. It's recursive so will add all subfolders. So now you've got shitloads of mp3's in your playlist. You need to double click on 'Misc' (or alternatively right click it 'Misc' and in the popup goto 'Misc'). There you shall find "Generate HTML playlist" so go right ahead and click it. An IE window will popup with all your songs in it and all you need to do is save it.

Post 20

stay tuned. taking a loooooooooong time to generate the file info.

here we go
my 'playlist'

excuse duplicates, some are necessary, the rest, i'm lazy.

Post 21

Is that why it says "winamp playlist" up the top?

Post 22

lol smartass :P

and Paladin - that is one frag of alot of mp3's :P

Post 23

its WRONG... WRONG I TELL YOU!!!
no way you ever listen to that!! you just have them so you can impress people with your excessive number of mp3z!!!

you just have too much gigabyteidge :P

Post 24

add a couple hundred music videos, if those count also.

Post 25

Nice list paladin :) Gives me a little inspiration. I've probably only got about 50 music vids.

Where do you guys get most of your mp3's?
FTP, IRC, P2P? Your own/friends cd's?

Post 26

thats five years of collecting. started off only ftp's, then irc, now mostly cd-ripping or p2p

Post 27

Heh Paladin's list could play non-stop without repeating any songs for 23.1 days straight.

Post 28

if there absolutely no duplicate files, and i'm pretty sure there's quite a goddamn few ;)

btw, music video list.

Post 29

yeah I only have a few dupes.. been going through all my mp3's lately cleaning out duplicates and fixing up all the id3 tags. pretty much all my mp3's are from p2p or ftp over the past 2 years.

will put up a list of music vids later.. sif it matters though. it's nothing compared to yours :)

Post 30

yeah i got a quiet a few music vids
ill put a list up later when i make a list :D

Post 31

try my mad music video list generating skript

cd music videos
dir /b > list.txt

imitation: i've got roughly 1gig (~500 files) of dupes, and thats not counting mp3s that are the same song, different encoding. i just really can't be fucked sorting them out ;), plus, i'm in the middle of sorting some 50,000 jpegs, so yeah.

Post 32

Im glad I made the decision I did - only collect music that is worthwhile.

That cuts out 90% of the mp3s Ive seen in the playlists.....

Judgement call - but im sure will be backed up by the right people.

U2 IS good yes.

Not much else Ive seen there is tho.

My call.

OD

Post 33

Yeah well when you get some time clean up your connection.. you will feel better afterwards.. I promise :) I mean having most of the naming correct and the ID3 tags filled in correctly makes a world of difference... hehe.

Actually forget the mp3s.. let's talk about all these jpegs :)

I started a list of music vids about 6 months ago when i was in a music vid phase.. looking for the txt file atm :) most of my vids are on cd's.

EDIT: Here's my list of vids. I think I've got a few more but I can't be bothered looking.

i started out that way, but uhm, now i'd rather just buy a bigger hdd, instead of being picky.

true enough, i'd be lucky to listen to 10% of what i posted, sometimes i surprise myself tho, queue it all up, randomise it, and hear stuff i've never heard before and end up liking.

Post 35

Yeah I have a varied taste in music so unless it really sounds like shit then it stays - assuming I know what it is, the file's complete, etc. I actually have a list I keep near the TV that I write songs down on while watching cable... There is just so much music that I like but don't know the name of. So that's handy.

Like I said I listen to pretty much all the music I have except for ABBA and a few other really weird things my dad's downloaded and some weird german stuff.. My dad downloads music and tehn I do so we can both listen to what the other likes. Is good.

Post 36

w00t!! a girl with class *grin* nice to see that the classics haven't been neglected SperO

*grin* as for OD, I sorta agree, its why I periodically weed out crap from my mp3 collection, and also why I only download stuff thats 128 bitrate or better. I just have a girlfriend who has waaay diferent tastes to mine, so it tends to jumble things a little.

and if anyone sees anything they like from my playlist, come see me at the next DGA event

Post 39

has anyone got nightmares on wax?

I have never listed to much though. The best I've got is ATB, Darude and some Faithless. I plan on getting a lot more in the future.. but I use to listed to heaps of it via shoutcast and it is sooo nice.. relaxing.. all those nice tunes bouncing around you can close your eyes and goto heaven.. or it can be completely different racing around full of energy. I like it a lot. Happy music.. good for your mind.
