well it's ok...
pity you can only have 90 food...sigh...doesn't allow for big battles...
also it plays rather slow..
still prefer Warcraft 2...
but all in all it's an ok game, had a little bit of a LAN last night and played a few games of that...

there are maps I'vebeen playing online that take away peon's/your slave workers type thing etc from the usual 90 food so you can still have fairly big battlish.
One 4x4 map included a nice few hundred grunts vs a few hundred humans.

Yeah its good....i played a couple of lan games last weekend...both went for about 1.5 hr's. Wasnt too bad...the general opinion from the broodwars ppls was not enough unit......bah...I like the fact you dont have too many. It makes it more tactical. :)
Though in our 4v4 games we'd end up each making armies of one unit....and putting them all together for a killin. :lol:

Wc3 yes very tactical, however i'm playing a lot of the misc maps on bnet such as the tower defense, very fun

Have found that when playing LAN with around six or more people, when AI's all decide to move at once and big battles erupt everyone gets moderate amounts of lag. It's like it's a network thing rather than a frameage thing. WC3 seems to rape the network just like Star Trek Armada. It's pretty nice for DX however, but I prefer to run it in OpenGL. I don't see what people are talking about OpenGL being buggy, it must be there cards....... :roll:

Personally I haven't really noticed any problems with the netcode for WC3

Yeah War3 is good Lan is fun with about 8 people.... I'm on sinlge player night elves last mission... it's a dirty dog of a mission I think...

Yes, but do your friends on LAN use Durons and GF2MX's? Because mine do and that's why multiplayer is shitty sometimes.
