Evo #2 Debriefing

Evo #2 rocked - many thanks to Howie and the DGA boys for yet another great lan. The power issues were a bitch, but we can happily point the finger at whoever installed the 80A fuses in 100A slots :P

much respect to EoS and Cockroache for their tireless efforts in getting the power back on.

GG to everyone that -=SB#2=- played in the clan wars, we all had a blast - and StarScream, never forget to check your six :P

great Evo Howie, so when's the next one? :P

btw, who won the cs tourney? ^_^

yes it was alot of fun
yes that power problem late afterenoon and evening on saturday but once it was all fixed it was great
[S] won the clan comp by a hair on the chins
a few new games were played too some silly little car game was being play it looks fun but them bloody things are hard to stear :[

Have to say I had one of less happy lans then I usually do.

The power problems for one, they just purely sucked. Especially since my computer was on the row that always got blacked out. Oh yea then there was the fact my system files got corrupted from the surge. Thanks to Terminator, Eater Of SOuls, Herman and Malleus for helping me. But the real credit goes to paladin who was the final key. (he had a bootable win 2k cd) took me 6 hours to get up and running ><

Then Id like to say THANKS to Terminator for passing on his flu which hit me about 6pm Sunday night forcing me into bed till the next day by 2pm.

Everybody handled the issues pretty well and next time power issues should be less of a problem.

Good work for everyone keeping their cool, especially the people who were round me. I apologise for my less then friendly nature at times.

the problem was that the fuses were 60A and they should have been 100A but all fixed now....and next lan i think we wont have any prob's with power.. the lan was good ..i think we have to make sure that the ppl that leave early should sit where the tables & chairs get put away so we can make for a better clean up and not wait for ppl to leave the last second...

a thanks goes out to Micheal the sparky(electrician) for comming out at short notice ... and to the FITS for all the prizes

a big hands together for the clan organizers they did a great job at rounding us up and telling us when we are playing
they were even kind enough to give us time to prepare and wait for players to getback from shops etc

Well it was fun. Nice change of pace. I had a hoot, though I ended up paying 25 and only staying for one day. ^o^ Well, so much for that.

A little dissapointed that CS was really the only game played, and boy was there some tight bandwidth on the network! ^O^ I think it's time everybody dish out for a second network car for crosspairs direct linking for file trading. ^O^

Oh, but I'm not saying the LAN sucked... Far from it! It was a bloody hoot, and thanks to the guys for making it a blast!

But one little thing, with the competitions, it'd be nice to know how to enter them. ^O^' I never entered the comp with the Vid Card. ^_^'

i liked the venue of EVO1 better though, how come u didnt use that?
i meaan it was an alright venue (minus the greeks driving passed on the first day screaming FUCK U U NERDS! and then driving of listening to eminem (losers))

yes unforunately there are those major dickheads that have done that before. i think i warded them off with my bright yellow shirt this time :P

last dga as most decided to leave sunday arvo there was some major action going on at the oval across the way, many obscene words were being thrown around. it is unfortunate that this happens but it's not like we can do much about it.

oh well, good lan, and thanks all for sharing their Anime and Movies, especially Hit ;) i've been waiting since DGA 10 to get the rest of those Angelic Layer eps off you ;)

Terminator :x ahhh it was him, you gave me a sore throat but luckily i caught it on time. Not so lucky for SperO & I think thats why Frenzy isn't at work today also. Anyway who ever got sick you all get well soon OK.. :D

Yes the power problem was crap, but hopefully power & water have fixed up the issue for good. So next time if the venue is used again it should be problem free. (NO FRIDGES NEXT DGA)

I like to thank everyone who ran DGA it was a excellent event except for the power issue. :(
Word of advice when playing against [S] team never never load the fusion pack or put new skins pack before warring them, dammit it was hard enough playing against [S] shit cant tell from ct's & t's noooo ohwell pot shot time & if they scream back must be my squad. :lol: next time [S] next time hehehehe we will give you a better fight.

Unlucky playing SB2 but you guys put up a good fight, good for our skills as a team anyway. Hopefully next time SB1 V SB2 in the end final's. We can do it..... ?

It only toke me 6 hours sleep to blow this piss weak virus from term's away.

It looks like you all need to take some form of exercise or something beside setting behind a computer all day. Do anything walk, jog, cycling or take up a sport that why you won't get sick so often & recover much faster.

Note : (Smoking & Drinking Beer) is not classified as sport. Lifting your arm up for a drink or a sigy isn't enough but if you can do it a hundred times per minute.. maybe... :lol:

Logically stay healthy stay fit & do some exercise = less chance getting sick & faster recovery. :D

Yes that's right paladin flying to Melbourne immediately is crap & freezing your ass off doesn't help also. But see you can bounce back 100% cuz I know you play lots of sports & exercise :shock: . Only time me going to Melbourne paladin is to watch F1 & the weather should be warmer then, hang on last time it rained...dammit.. :(

But it is possible we got different strains of the virus "I've been told".
I think we where lucky paladin to only get the not so bad strain.

when i was a little younger and less weighed down with my studies i played 8 sports: Tennis, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Cricket, Soccer, Hockey, Baseball, Athletics. this isn't going back too long..ooh 4 years maybe...:P now alas.. i only play 1 sport...:D tis good though ;)
