Well they met DNC in the final and boy was it a great fucking game all round.
Unlike EVO1 where syndicate walked all over DNC this one was a more closer battle .. by close I mean close .. 2 rounds between a win and a lose. It was fought in great spirit. And now we know why Flak has the name Flak .. :) Cause everything gets flak when he is around and gets killed :)
Thanks Unseen, and the rest of the DNC clan for the excellent game. I would have to put it down as one of the most enjoyable I've ever played. The suspense, the tention, the adrenalin rush, it was all there. My hat goes off to DNC for their sportsmanship, and for putting up such a mighty fight.
Its kinda funny how last evo and this evo clan [S] and clan (DNC) allways seem to never play a round against each other untill the finals. OMG what a shock horror.... i think we may need new rules eh or what.... seems pretty Coincidental but hey my eyes are open how about yours...
Perhaps you'd like to question the 6-7 people standing around while the names of clans were randomly being pulled out of the hat.
Iam also doubtful that the final would have been anywhere near as thrilling or entertaining if it was S/DNC vs SB (They came third I believe). No offense to SB ofcourse, you guys played excellent.
Terminator eyes might be open, but he does have these big glass things blocking them though. :shock: As far as I am aware, Coco drew out the teams and the order that they would play, I know i wasn't there for the draw!! next time terminator u can draw them out. Then u cant blame us if u draw out your team v [S] or (DNC) or any other team that is there.
Maybe its the fact that you got knocked out early term?

All I can say is that if people arn't happy with a random cs draw then we wont run 1 .. free for all .. all night long .. which is not what most people want .. why have a clan if you aint gonna have a clan match.

How much fairer and to chance can the following be. ALL CLANS into a HAT. Each Clan is drawn oout of the hat and they a drawn in the order they came from the hat...(not to fast for you yat Term). Then all maps up till the finals were drawn with the same process.
Guess what I didnt draw a single piece of paper from the hat......Oh shit thats right it is obvious now I must have rigged it. IT WAS MY HAT.

clan [BM] played DNC 1sy up and got kicked right and than played someone else than had to play DNC again?????????? wtf thats wrong but yeah anyways not only did we have to play em again we had to play them again on the same fucking map arrrrrrrrrhhhhhh where did the clan organises pull that from?
o btw waay beside than hands together for the clan comp organises too cause they did a really good job at letting us knw when to play and giving us the time we needed to prepare thank for that fellers that was good

I've kept quiet on this front, but here I gotta throw in my comments.
Yes, Neo - Knight of Nih DID play S first round. It was us (BM #1), comprising of myself, Seqo_ae, Angel, Xaine, and Sparky that played DNC first round.
We played them first round on Inferno, and fourth round, also on Inferno. Go figure.
To clarify a few things, this is the draw from the first round. Loosing clans would be thrown into the bottom divisions, and in your 4th round, you come to play who ever was still going up there, which just happened to be DNC. Its called double elimination - loose the first round, your still in with a chance to get to the final. Loose again and your out, perhaps we should just make all clans which loose the first round stay out, wouldn't that be even more fun.

Yes, we played DNC in Inferno on the first draw. It was just bad luck, and literally the luck of the draw, being completely random as it was (I was one of those pulling names out of a hat.
In the end, you just gotta play the game - yes, it was frustrating getting owned by DNC twice (well, once - we put up a decent-ish fight in the first round). But well done to the rest of the BM team who, instead of bitching (well, we did quietly among ourselves, but I would like to think it's left there), decided to have a bit of fun and tried their utmost best to run around knifing DNC
Draw was completely random with the following people standing around and drawing names out for sake of this shit not happening..:)
Myself, Crazy, Dom, Tn1, Xaine, Paladin and a few others that walked up while we were doing it.
I actually proposed that we seed S and DNC because they won it last year and DNC second, Crazy himself vetoed this.
A random draw is a random draw, it was bad luck that BM got DNC, they then dropped to the elimination bracket and beat TOB to get back to the semi finals,unfortunately DNC had taken care of DT and were waiting.
If the draw was rigged do you think the 2 SB teams would have had to play each other in the 2nd round? :)
And Neo is right, the 2 best teams played the final and an awesome final it was, it is up to us, the other clans to become good enough to knock DNC or S out, not their job to stand back and let us through..:)
It was an awesome final which was just not meant to be for DNC, luck wasn't with them with Flamm's win2K machine hanging the start of the final round..

I was in -=SB=-1 and we won both of our first rounds. [RC] didnt win a round against us, but it was still fun playing against a new(?) clan and hoping that they came away with something, like improved skills or strats. I know thats how i look at it. [S] pretty much hammered us (think it was 20 - 11? Correct me if im wrong) but i picked up some strats and i think our whole team learned from it. It really isnt about winning or losing (although its nice to win), its about having fun and improving your skills.
WD to the organisers and competitors. I hate to see this kind of thing detract from the good reputation of DGA and EVO. WD again, and hope to see everyone again at the next DGA/EVO :D

Final words on this.
It was a random comp draw with the maps also being random drawn. If you don't like it well there is not much we can do for you. It will be a while before we hold another CS comp because I for one am sick of the people who dont like the way things happen. I can comment on the people that complained. But there is no need. It is there and we go out of our way to organise these things yet you guys turn it around and throw it back at us. Hence the CS comps if asked to organise I wont because I can't be fucked to sort these out then have somebody say "Rigged, BS blah blah blah" when there team gets knocked out.
Don't Like the way its being run .. DONT SIGN UP pretty simple in my eyes.
And I think CrazyC is feeling the same way I am.

Now there are 2 leading clans in the Darwin LAN scene.. clan [S]- and clan (DNC).
Whoever has to war them, will cry. But someone tell anyone, with a totally random draw, how the other clans wont war them ??

Why is it, the ppl behind the dga lans put so much unpaid effort into making these events happen, and some people, all they can do is whinge and complain about something. Your pathetic.
well it was fun for me nonetheless. i think the rest of the clan was having some fun too, well done to BM, we did very well against DNC in the first game. ;)
the second game vs DNC we already decided the outcome after the first four rounds. soooo a few of us decided to knife the rest of the game, a few from DNC also joined in the antics during the end and it was funny as all hell.
sparky ended the game with 2 knife kills :lol: ;)
unfortunately for us, it was the luck of the draw. playing the same clan on the same map seemed a little fishy to begin with but we enquired about it to CoCo who then went on to talk about it with a few others, it was just pure bad luck.
unfortunately our attempts to change the map also failed... and i still stand by my argument that it would have been a better / more interesting / more enjoyable game for both clans if it were a different map.
but, luck is luck and there wasn't much we could do about it. BM put up some good fights and we came away better as a clan for it...thanks all for a great time ;)
No offence to the good people that have posted here, but to me both sides have gone a little overboard with their arguments. i don't think that name calling is necessary either. gawd it's a game, seriously move on, what's done is done.

Last Words: currently DNC and S are the leading clans, but with DNC losing to clan SB in a (scrimmage ?) match then it gives hope for the future of SB and other clans such as BM :)

I agree Sly......yes, we (-=SB=-) did get a pretty crappy draw.....but fuck it, thats the way the cards fall and although i was disappointed, i knew that it was pure chance. I didnt expect to be outright winners of the comp, i just wanted our team to play hard, and we did.
To everyone else who thinks that it was rigged.....you either play them at the start half way through or at the end, the fact remains that DNC and S are currently the two top clans at DGA's, and therefore, sooner or later you will have to play against them.
I say well done to DNC and S, you guys have the skill to make it to the finals and deserve to be there. If any other clans had the same skill levels, then they would be there too, but they aint!
I just hope that admins (unseen in particular) can find it in their hearts to continue (one day) running comps, caus the majority of us appreciate and respect what you guys do.
