CS.... whuts that? i dont remember playing that game in at least 2 years... and dont plan on playing it in the near future... i also agree with spud this is Gamers_Underground.... sure alot of you live and breathe cs but its not the be all, end all.. no offence to you CS phreaks but... this is just my p.o.v.

I don't play CS, well I used to and I used to rule this place during the time rec was still learning to play CS. Meanwhile now I just sit around and wait for BF1942 to come out.

BF1942 is so gay, there is that many issues with the demo it is not funny. Fair enough I'll give it a fair go when the full version comes out but at the moment I dont understand how any of you can claim that it's a CS killer. The aiming is ridiculous, grenades do a phenomenal amount of damage in such a big area. Knife fights are just stupid, you dont even touch each other some times when your in point blank range.

CS not a strategy game, well your playing it wrong, I personally think theres shitloads of strategy involved, it's not simply a point and shoot game, it may appear to be but once you get involved and actually good at the game then there is alot more to it then that. How much strategy does it take for a team of terrorists to plant a bomb, stay alive, defend against counter terrorists, and guard hostages. HEAPS!
It's easy to just get in and spam the server, but it's pretty hard to actually do what you mean to do and do it time and time again, every time you play it's different, different tactics and strategy's depending on what players are in the server. Granted that is the same (or same potential for BF1942) in other games but were discussing CS. The only issue I have for CS is the engine it was built on is getting a bit old. Look at the resources that BF1942 pulls. It's ridiculous, I was playing on a server with 20 people in it, while someone was downling a single 700MB file off me and computer started to lag out. I play CS on 32 player servers and have anywhere up to 4 people download off me without dropping a frame.

I prefer strategy games too.
Whilst you may have some comment reaps that CS has some strategy - so too by that realm does Sonic the Hedgehog. I prefer games tactical games where I maneuvre plan ahead and fighting doesnt really on my shooting first.

like if you put an expensive mat on the floor of the lounge room then they will be happy, or if you make all the sims star signs the same... yeah
