"Went kaboom?"
[helpdesk]
We need a little more information. Does the motherboard or video BIOS come up? Does the hard drives spin up? Fans operational? All fans or just the power supply? It could be that one of the cables inside the computer became slightly ajar. It it's possible without voiding your warrenty to remove the case of the computer, I suggest you do so and push all cables firmly back into their positions. If a cable has fallen out- leave it, describe what type of cable it is and where you think it may have fallen out of, and we'll try to give you more information. It could be something very simple, like a loose cable, processor (I know all about this one) or RAM chip, but we can't help you unless you give us all the correct information.

the "kaboom" concerns me - it could be that the PSU fried itself - thats about the only thing that comes to mind that could make that sort of noise..
