You mean Peltier cooling? That's about as solid state as things can get.

i thought solid state was the new technology being used for hard drives? like a USB drive - uses a technology similar to RAM rather than moving components....

yep but its also a term relating to peltier cooling (or the peltier effect)

Solid State is a general term for something that doesn't have any moving parts. :wink:

True when asking for information on something, at least show that you've made some attempt in doing your own research. Then if you haven't given us any information what you're really after then decide to come back and reject us and say you need real experts, who's fault is it that you didn't get any information for what you wanted. We're not mind readers.

lol - a friend of mine owns three computers with Peltier Coolers or Watercooling with Peltier Elements... yet you don't ask a question which i could have then passed on to him. oops.

ok. first i need to know what is the rate of heat transfer for 8 Amp peltier cooler what is the prefered voltage, is it better to have a stepped voltage and when using more than onepeltier what is the best way to join all of then together for the gratest heat out put.

For this sort of question it might be better if you try looking through the OCAU forums and if it aint there, then post a topic and you have answers within minutes if not seconds
