i'm not exactly sure i know what the hell you are talking about.
i came to the server... well i've been around GU since it began and i was around Octa4 servers which most of the people here came from.
how did i rate the server in the beginning... 9/10...
i found it by refreshing the list in ASE... and its got 9/10 imo
Knight - I think you have finally been dethroned as the "WTF King" (as in, "WTF is he talking about?") :lol:
not to mention his slaughtering of the english language.

I stumbled on Octa4 by I believe I was actually talking to Rent@kill (an old time member here) over icq and he showed me the site, at the time I had actually played on Octa4 through a friends computer (Sparky another oldish member here).
Well when I came here this (Octa4) was the godly of gods servers, always had a good "population" of gamers, most of whom were very nice and quite a few of these folk are still around here.
I think when the server became closed (you had to register to play on it) thats when the "community" kinda took off and became quite close and everyone knows each other kinda of thing.
But since then SO MUCH has changed, so many new faces coming and going, many staying.
Server has become very popular, but I think the release of BF1942 and Natural Selection the servers have become kinda deserted and not much has happened since (which is a ream shame).
But never fear the community exists and well I think its the friendliest, funniest and easiest place to stay and get along with even though a few are wierd but as an "old" member im used to that (most of the time), as for being new well it must be fairly scary but just have a good come back and you'll sink in with the rest just fine :P
As for me personally about the servers, I would pay "00 to have the wc3 mod vanish from this planet, come on flame me I dun care :twisted: But im a sucker for the classic CS, none of this modded mod crap!
So im waiting for the "classic" CS to come back to life :wink:
I give this server 10/10 for its community and the dedication some have here, and that said thats why im still here. :D
well i was searching around for WC3 servers and i found this one played on it, LOVED the challenge of getting xp and the ppl on it were relly kewl. Soi just kept playing...
Was here from the start basically. I give it 11/10 any day.
I came on and there was lightning shooting around and i was like wtf this is mad :D and i got like lvl 10 in my first round (old system) which was pretty awesome :D
Found it through ASE - had to register here to gain access then have hung around for the last 10 months or so ...
Rating : Initially 0 out of 10 - all the Elite GU ( Haxors ) kept killing me .... but now I am l33t ..... a zillion out of 10 and thats not just for the server but for all the people I have met here in the forums and of course on line in the servers .... and the good community spirit displayed by most GU members ....
And please, please learn to type, spell etc ... one Knight is enough without having to decypher a whole new load of gibberish ....
i was sitting around one day interfearing with myself thought wtf was this and now im hooked 10/10 for me :D
I came here about two years ago, i'm one of the older ones, but not as old as ruin, rec, tn1 etc. Was bought here by my then clan mate DTA Blob.
I rated the server low back then - anybody remember the octa4 lag? you couldn't play during the day because the connection was so bad!
But if u ask me now, i'd also say 11/10, it's the greatest place ever.

lol yeah the classic darwin server pings, but hey was all in good fun eh cow :P But I think you migh have been here (ie:played on server) before me - not sure though but I remember you from way back :P When you were in Ra and stuff :P
reason octa4 lagged so bad during the day was that it was on the Optus big phat pipe which the government used during the day .. after 5:30 the pings were awsome, or better should be the way to put it. :)
