What is with wc3 when i play now they auto sign me to teams and it goes "PTB: Noticing ct etc etc..." on the screen. i saw people were saying that there was something on this site about where can i find that because ive been looking but no find?

I am testing PTB on the server. It has been used on GU servers before quite successfully so I thought I'd test it out again with WC3.
The REASON why is that I was sick and tired of the all teamstacking that was going on in the server - every single damn map was one-sided depending on which was the stronger team for that map. I thought about letting people use their own conscience to even the team, but that never happened, so I now have to do that for them...

PTB is what we need.
Form your perspective, i think u'd rather be auto team balanced by PTB then kicked by admmins for team whoring.
Lately, people have been joining winning teams midway during games and rounds.

nothing is more fun than having a really close match. pwning on one team can be fun for a little while but soon gets boring and is extremely frustrating if you're on the recieving end of it.

Last time I put this on I found the server lost just the kind of people I wanted to leave anyway - so trust me, its not great loss...

Well done. It is annoying sometimes being auto swapped but it does make the game more fun for all to play.

As long as i can weild a gun against my enemy and complete my objective, i dont really care what team in on or what map. Just as long as the rest of the team thinks that way and plays the game everyone gets along fine

Sometimes its rather stupid though, eg. 9 T's and 7 Ct's, or T's are owning and ct's havent won so one person changes to CT and it changes them back or something..

It's stupid because thats an unlikely scenario with PTB. What would happen is that there'd be 9 T's and 7 Ct's, with the CT's winning, so extra players are stacked onto the T team. I think PTB only works after 3 rounds of play? any correct me on this?

I mean like the teamas might be fairly uneven eg. 3 - 4 people difference and i'll try to change to even it up and it wont let me, or the losing team will have people swapped to the winning team or other crazyness.
It does work a lot of the time, somtimes its a little annoying though.

I have also noticed PTB not really making the teams all that much fairer while playing on the server

Idealistically PTB is good, but in practise I don't like various parts of it.
A lot of the times, I opt to join the losing team, but I get a WTJ warning. Its like really hard to find the chance to change teams already since sometimes, when you die, you automatically rejoin your own team.
Also, its really annoying how you can't choose which team you want to join at the start because I usually want to join the team with my friends, but I just get auto-assigned to the other team.
I have nothing against its player switching throughout the game, but the auto-assign at the start gets on my nerves.

cuz 2 day i've seen heaps of ppl that tryed to join the teams that
are winning so they tryed 5 times and they get kiked but
i sometimes hate it because it switches me to the bad teams

PTB is good, but it takes away the fun of being which team you want to be in. It also comes in when it's not needed, e.g. like at the start of the map, being the first one there, you choose T. But being a hostage rescue map, it autoes you to CT, even though no one has connected yet :x

I'd just like to restate someone's point that sometimes it doesn't actually make the teams even. At times, PTB switches the best player of the losing team to the winning team, and brings some average player (but with a good score because they're on the winning team) to the losing team.

PTB is great.
Its especially funny when one person is owning and PTB stacks him against every other player in the server, and he still beats em :P
