the new mod on wc3 server

Im just commenting on the new mod that changed what team your in when it thinks the teams are uneven.
I really disagree with it and I think its probally the worst mod ever to add. Because when teams are even it changes them, and if u want to be in the same team as your clan (for practise say..) it moves you all around the place and if you attempt to rejoin it kicks you.
Can it be changed such that this is not the case? Id prefer not to have it on if it cant be done.

I wouldn't put money on getting it taken off :D
PTB is a good tool, epecially for that server. You get many "knuckle heads" come in and join the team they really shouldn't have and hence makes the teams unbalanced and the game becomes unfair.

While yes it does become annoying it will stop this and make teams fair. Even though PTB can be stupid at times and make them unfair. (not often)

You want a prac war?
1. Why you on a wc3 server
2. If you want prac go and grab ya team and book the war server/s for a bit - grab an opponent if u want. There are plenty around here.

ok i was 5 for 0 then it changed me and i was 4 for 1 and it did that constantly taking offa kill while addign a death, culd u please fix this, its more then just a floor

Its not a flaw, it changed you while you were alive, effectively making you suicide hence why you loose a kill and gain a death. This is how PTB works occasionally - most of the time it will swap you over when your dead but if it wants you and your whole team is alive then it'll swap you when it's alive.

But I highly doubt it'll be taken off - not at least until people use some common sense and be a bit more mature and join the team they should have and not stack a team :wink:

I just use Auto when joining and then get shuffled around by PTB .. fine by me ... attempts to keep teams even .... not everyonr does this - Auto I mean ... and you end up with like 10 v 2 ....etc

It is designed to stop team stacking which has been a real problem of late.

It will not be removed so ...

Learn to live and play with it or ....

Find a non PTB server .....

I played last night with it, and it was funny, because the ones that were whinging were the ones that whinge and swear about everything! I'm quite happy to keep on kicking/banning them till they learn to quit whinging and enjoy it - or PLEASE, by all means, LEAVE!

One other thing I noticed was that I hadn't had that many close games in quite a while.....

Can the suicide feature be changed? I swear people have been dead on my team and im still suicided. This is very annoying. Aside from that PTB is good, it evens teams, although im in the same boat with ruckus about clans onside.

sure clans like to stick together but the introduction of PTB means that it will be more fair.

i know what ur saying but if a leet clan comes on with 6 of there members on their team against a couple of average players.

im sure the average players will feel quite disadvantaged and wont stand much of a chance.

im sure u can find other places to prac war and book one of the servers.

the majority im sure will at first hate PTB (i was one of them) but when they (and i) think about it, it does mean more fair gaming. teams of 6 vs 9 and clans vs others wont occur much anymore and so they shouldnt.

i have noticed alot that even just yesterday people tried to change teams from the loosing team to the winning team but wernt alowed to.

this is how it should be.

im for PTB now and i think it will make the servers more fair and also more challenging for the people who always team stack. - true leet players can play both sides. i think we all need the prac as noth t's and ct's.

i may get some hate mail and burning for what im saying but so be it. its my opinon and i feel PTB will make the server more fair and will make it fairer for n00bs and for those on the recieving end of a team stack.

i can recall so many instances of team stacking even just in the last week. i say try this out, see the benefits and then decide.

also this is another concern i share for the new mod,
sometimes if the teams are uneven and u try and even them say Ts are 4 and cts are 6 , u may try to join Ts and somehow u appear on ct making it even more unfair.
a better mod would be appreciated

I was just wondering how PTB decides when the teams are uneven. I mean does it judge numbers or kills or k:d etc. I'm not whinging, I'm just curious :D

I dont know the exact calculations but im assuming the program takes into the account t wins vs cts wins as a start.. more so player skills based upon their kill death ratio for each round. If you have more skilled players ie higher kd ratio to the other team it swaps or adds them to the other team. Very simple really, stop your bitching just because you can be with your buddies. Just play cs to have fun, one of the main reasons it was created.. fun ... yes fun.. Stop trying to be stat whores and play the game

wow and continue the whinging why don't you... (not aimed at everyone, I'm sure the people can figure it out though)

PTB is there to keep the teams fair, oh no, so you can't always be on the team you want, but think about everyone else, maybe they're not on the team they wanted either, but at least are trying to keep it fair. Or even better still, learn to play on both teams for every map rather then crying just because you can't always have your way.

PTB has actualy improved my CS ( yeah anything above zero is an improvement in my case ) by making me play on both teams in most maps and often switching me during a map which can be an advantage cause if you have been paying attention to your former teamates you will have an idea of their tactics etc ....

PTB does stop the blatant team stacking as has previously occurred ... usually by the stats whores ... and attempts to make the teams fairer.

So please learn to live with it and learn from the experience .....

yeah PTB does well to stop stat whores and team stacking and its getting better, it still has some "flaws" but im pleased with it now
suicide in the middle of a map can be annoying although this problem has ceased to happen
